| Cute Thread Here's my Phoebe. My story.... Hubby has always wanted a Yorkie (I know, weird, right? ) and I always grew up with small dogs (shih tzu's) so I wanted a bigger dog. Hence our house being blessed with two lovely Boxers. Well the more I looked at photos of Yorkies I thought they are just so adorable. Then I found this site, did my research and saw that some people had Yorkie's with Boxers and I thought why not. Well the thing that really made me do it was, Hubby had triple bypass open heart surgery back in May. So I thought this would be the best gift for US So after research and dreaming of having one, I found a breeder. I thought it was perfect...hubby would be home to potty train. Well, by the time Phoebe was able to come home, hubby was back at work But we still had our house blessed with this beautiful baby that gets along great in our household

| Well, I don't have a picture, but here is our story: A friend of mine had been telling me how she knew someone who needed to get rid of their puppy. They just couldn't figure out why when left for 12 hours a day with free run of the house he was chewing on furniture, so they kept him locked in a kennel all the time.(but that's another story) I didn't think anything of it because although I wanted a dog, I didn't want to get my hopes up. I was shopping with my friend in a town about 30min. away from where I live and she got a phone call from the guy giving the dog away (we will call him Joe). She told Joe I was interested and he said we should meet at petco so I could see the dog. We got to Petco and as soon as I layed eyes on Louie I was in love! Although he was 5months old he was sooo small. Joe had tried to cut his hair, and it looked aweful. Louie was very dirty and smelled like men's cologne, which Joe said was from his bath. (yea right) It was like Louie knew I was going to be his new mama, because we bonded instantly. I asked Joe when we could make arrangements for Louie to come home with me, and he told me he brought all his stuff(a bag of dog food and a kennel) and I could take him then. I didn't waste another minute. Louie and I started shopping for toys, treats, and all the necessary items. I won't even say how much money I spent! Ever since that day Louie has been a spoiled rotten. He is a joy and I don't know what I would do without him!

Peeka Boo I See You! Donating Member | Well here's my story to lol. I have been wanting a yorkie for 3 years and never had the money to get one. My mom said out of the blue one day lets get some yorkies my eyes welled up with tears and i started to cry. the next day i searched and searched i calles 21 people and all had just sold thier last puppy i was so dissapointed finally after a week of searching i found a lady who had puppies available but when i went to go see them i could tell right away they wern't going to live up to the standard for the breed and i really wanted a beautiful baby and these were very bad i was very dissapointed i waited and searched for 3 more days and when i was about to give up i saw an add for puppies but the drive was an hour and a half away i didn't think my mom would go that far for them but i was wrong! When we first walked in the door at the breeders we were greeted by the most beautiful yorkie i had ever seen and i thought this is my lucky day! when i first layed eyes on my peeka it was love at first sight and he loved me to he walked right up and bit me on the toe i flenched and then he kissed it better. we had to wait 2 weeks (the longest in my life) but then we drove up and got peeka and his brother boo.Peeka slept the whole way home on my shoulder and i love him so much i am so thankful to my mom for buying him for me and to all of you yt'ers for letting me post and tell my story what a great thread this is!!

| wow! what a neat thread! i love reading everyone's stories. so here's mine: a family at my church has a teenaged daughter who is highly allergic to everything-at least that's how it seems. anyway, she was in the beginning stages of depression so her parents bought her a yorkie puppy (they heard they weren't bad on allergies?) it turned out that she couldn't keep the puppy b/c she was allergic to him, too. a few days before easter, the dad called me and said they wanted me to take tucker. i didn't want a dog-especially a little one- but i said i'd take him for the weekend and see. (i was having medical problems brought on mainly by stress and didn't want to add more stress) needless to say, after a weekend with this little guy, i just couldn't give him back. i'm glad now that they picked me. i've not had as many stress-related medical problems and i can't imagine life without him! he's my little miracle! here's a picture of tucker on easter weekend. |

| Those are all so cute! I'm going to have to scan some of my early pics of Sadie. My mom took them all & took them from a regular camera, not a digital, so I need to scan them to send in!
