| new puppy Riley Hey Everyone! I haven't been on here for a couple of months but I am finally getting my puppy on Friday! He will be 10 weeks old, but I attached a picture of him at 1 month old when I first saw him. Does anyone have any advice on what I should be prepared for the first few days I bring him home? Thanks! Let me know if the link works with the picture |

| Hi there Riley is so cute Is this your first puppy? Georgie was my first in a long time and my first Yorkie. Here are a couple of suggestions: Make sure you have nutrical handy, they are so small they don't have any reserves. Be prepared to take care of a baby, because thats what it's like. Give him a ton of love, they are sooo wonderful I look at Georgie everyday and think he is amazing. Again congrats and I am sure other people will give you great advice

| Hello! Thanks for the post! This is my first yorkie...I have been waiting a year for this and am so excited it's finally here! I just graduated college so I had to wait until I was done to get my own puppy. My boyfriend got a Bichon Frise about two months ago so I have had a little bit of practice training a new puppy...what is nutrical? I think I have heard of it but just want to make sure. Thanks for replying!! |

| I will make sure to get the nutrical in case he is nervous and will not eat. Thanks, that is great advice! I had my boyfriend's bichon sleep with me and he always woke me up when he needed to go out and never went on the bed. I am wondering if it is an okay idea to let my yorkie sleep with me? Any experience with this? Sorry for all the questions! |

| That is quite alright keep the questions coming. I am by no means a Yorkie expert but Georgie has slept with me every night since he has been home, and he scratches and whines to get off the bed to use the potty. Well now we have stairs for him so he scratches at the door. He sleeps through the night and when he wakes up in the morning he comes by my head as if to say "okay time to get up now Mom." I can't imagine him not sleeping with me and I am sure you will feel the same way
