Yay! Surgery was worth it if a hottie like Chloe wants Jack!

He's always been a spinner, but he's gotten better at. He's also getting better at doing it on command.

You can come only as Chloe's chaperone, and Eddie will be watching out for Jack, just to keep you honest.

Good eye! Yeah, most days I go get them for the last couple hours of my shift, but I got real busy tonight and couldn't get them. I'm jonesing for my Yorkies. I only have 30 minutes to go!

Lucky you!! It would make my day go by sooo much faster, but then again I'd be playing with them all day!! I'd get no work done.

Yeah, with all our cold weather, they love the long hallways!

I tried bringing them in earlier in my shift, but two Yorkies running around a newspaper office on deadline tends to get a little goofy. Fortunately, I live just a mile a way and can get them for the last hour of my shift pretty easily. Everyone (so far!) loves to have them around.

You know, dogs in the workplace have been shown to increase productivity and decrease employee sick time. Some major corporations (Amazon.com comes to mind) have embraced this, and allow dogs at work (there are rules regarding accidents, vaccinations, etc). Before I got Edie (5+ years ago), I asked my boss if I could bring her in. Frankly, if he had said "no", I don't think I would have gotten her.

It is wonderful to see Jack doing so well. I love his little bark.

Those videos are just tooo cute! Jack does not even look or act like a doggy who has just had surgery!!!!!! Way to go Jack!!! Sooooo cute!!!! And I love both of their spins!!! Soooo cute! Luigi says he knew that Eddie would just adore his new brother just like he adores his brother Brasco!!!

I did take Edie to work regularly, but my last day in that job was last Friday! I just moved to Tucson from Maine, and I don't have a job lined up here yet. I realize it is likely that Edie will no longer be able to come to work with me. That's OK. She got 5 years of workplace experience, and she will have her grammy to hang out with here during the day.

In Portland, Maine, where I came from, dogs in the workplace are pretty routine. My sister (who lives in the D.C. area) was downtown one morning and couldn't believe all the dogs accompanying their owners to work. In our small office building, we had a golden, a lab, a poodle, and occasionally a husky and a couple of Australian shepherds in addition to my Edie. It was funny and sweet to see people taking breaks to walk, pet and talk to their dogs. It is a real stress reliever. A coffee shop below my office allowed dogs inside. I know it was against the health code, but they have never been busted. In fact, they serve "doggie biscotti" (Milk Bones) to their regular customers.....
