| Hello Hi, We are new to the Yorkie forum and we wanted to introduce ourselves. I am Migualla and Shelbie is the love of my life. I adopted Shelbie in January 06 and unknown to anyone she was expecting. I took her to the Vet on Fri Feb 3rd and she was due in about 7-10 days. Well on Feb 10th I am the proud Grandma to 5 babies, 3 boys and 2 girls. Prior to coming to me she was with a breeder that didnt want her any longer due to the fact that she was 4 lbs at a year old and he felt that was to big to have (teacup, his words not mine) puppies. Long story short we have babies. Dad was a pretty Yorkie and of course Shelbie is beautiful. I am going to try to attach a pic. The babies are doing wonderful. I am looking forward to talking to everyone and getting to know your family. Migualla,Shelbie and new babies |

I Love Thor Donating Member | WOW!!! I bet you were so shocked to find that out! The babies look so cute and momma looks beautiful. It seems that she had two "chocolate" puppies? I bet you are just so excited! Are you going to sell any of them or keep them all? We are glad to have you here at YT! I hope you continue to post pics of the growing babies and of course of momma dog! It's great to hear that you have given this dog a forever home!! Welcome! |

| Excited is the understatement of the year! Thank you all for the words and yes I am soooo excited. I am sure the breeder never dreamed she was pregnant or he would have never gotten rid of her. I dont know that though. I have to say this website has been a wealth of information already. I just found it a couple days ago and have spent most all my waking hours reading. I cannot sleep well at night since our little presents got here. I wake up about every hour and check on Shelbie and babies. They are right beside my bed so I dont have to go very far LOL. I have a confession to make though, when she started having them when the 1st one came and she started cleaning I thought uh-oh we have a problem! I was trying to figure out how in the world a Rottweiler mated with a Yorkie!!! I have never seen newborn Yorkies so the color was not at all what I was expecting. So I spent hours searching for pics, thats how I found this website. I am searching right now for what a "chocolate" is. Those two were twins, same placenta at birth. I was worried about Shelbie having enough milk for such a big litter. Thank Goodness my Vet gave me advice about what to have on hand for whelping. But the information I have found on here has been amazing. THANK YOU ALL!!! |

| Such a warm welcome Thanks for such a warm welcome. I am not sure what we are going to do! I cannot imagine letting go of these babies. But I cannot imagine a house with 6 Yorkies a 4 y/o Chihuahua and a 13 y/o Italian Greyhound. Thank god we have a big home. They just seem so precious though. I have already named them. I will take individual pics soon. I have read these posts till my eyes are crossed but I just cannot seem to stop reading. I am glad the computer is in the Master Bedroom so Shelbie and babies are right here so I can watch them constantly. Does everyone get so addicted to reading all the advice??? LOL |

| Congrats!! What a wonderful surprise Valentine's gift. If the breeder knew that she had so many babies, and 2 Chocolate Yorkies for that matter, he/she probably wouldn't be too happy. I think those Chocolate Yorkies go for a pretty penny. Oh well, sucks to be the breeder who got rid of a pregnant cutie pie!!!
