Yorkie-Poms Due March 27th Okay My little girl a yorkie/pom will be due mach 27 !! the daddy is a full yorkie im excited and scared!! what are some good things i should get her?? im taking her for an ultrasound in about 1 1/2-2 weeks and the good thing is my vets isnt 5 minutes from me, i could literally walk there i have a play pen pulled out and i am going to line it with towels. im going to ask for at least a few days off from work when she's ready. and i work 10 minutes away so i can go home on my breaks, and i have family/friends that can come back and check on her. my sister is a vet tech and she is helping to. she told me to stay out of the way so that little girls mother instinks(spelling?) kick in, but im sure i will be hovering..lol can someone give me a hand in preparing me for this: supplies, distress signs i wanted to breed yorkies in the future and really wasnt expecting this. so help is really appreciated!!

i dont see anything wrong with breeding 2 breeds, but no i didnt intend for her to get pregnant i was going to breed yorkies and this happened when i didnt know she was in heat, again so soon please understand that i do not want posting that start arguments between what one person thinks is right and another, if you arent interest in discussing in a positive way please move on

Excuse me, but his might come out wrong. I'm against the whole "designer breed" hype. I would never want to buy a mixed dog, because the puppy cound inherit the bad genes from the parents. People are doing it nowdays to make mney which is sad! Some girl told me my Maltese were ugly, and Maltipoos were cuter! I nearly put my foot up her a$$! I just think it's horribly wrong. If you knew your male was in heat, you shold've kept him in a different part of the house away from all of the other dogs. I'm only stating my opinion. I rather spent $700 on a purebred dog, than a "designer breed."

whatever anyone was trying to say i didnt come here to sell them or ask permission from anyone, i was simply sharing a moment in my pets life like anyone else and i dont feel that anyone needs to be negative because they arent in agreement with mixed dogs. i see nothing wrong with it

I have three of my own mixed breeds, and I love them dearly. I can't say that I would never ever get another mix.. but the circumstances would have to be right like someone's dogs having an accidental pregnancy or a rescue. Anyhow, I know this is not what this topic is about. I'm no help w/whelping since I don't breed.. but good luck to you and I'm sure someone will be able to help.
