| LOL, Mike! Quote:
Rarely is the man without a guitar, but you will never catch him singing! He says he can't sing because it makes him cough! He also says he married me so he would always have a singer in the house and he will never have to! Dreama has not changed her attitude about Wosie. She maintains that Wosie is a pain, and will only hunch down on the floor when approached by her, much like the very first picture I posted. I know it's going to take some time before she gets comfortable enough to play. Wosie is willing to take her time, and has been very gentle with Dreama, surprisingly. I have seen many 7 month old pups that were much more brutal when attempting play. And Dreama has emitted a quiet warning growl a couple times, but has not snarled or tried to bite Wosie if Wosie gets over excited. Dreama DID however, snap at ME. She was on the bed with us while we were eating (yeah, we eat dinner sitting in bed in front of the TV sometimes), and she kept creeping closer to my plate. I gently tried to tell her to back off and she did not understand what I meant, so I put one hand on her chest, and one on her rump and began to gently push her away, and she snapped at the hand on her rump! And continued to snarl at me! I pointed my finger at her nose (DUH) and said "NO Bite" firmly and stared her down. She stopped snarling and looked at me, and I told her she was a good girl and gave her pats, picked her up and moved her back, made her lie down, and petted her and told her she was a good girl. My husband was shocked at the whole episode, and amazed that I remained so calm. She's got BIG TEETH! OK, compared to Wosie! I told Dave that if she had truly wanted to bite me, she would have. She was testing me, and I her apparently. She was fine after, and has accepted direction from me ever since. Today I insisted she sit and wait before she could eat her breakfast, and she was very patient throughout. She does not seem to know any obedience commands, not even sit. I had to make her do it, watching those teeth all along, lol. It could be she chooses not to perform due to the newness of everything, but I tend to think she has never had any training. We will continue to nurture and love her, and be patient with these kind of things. But she will not bite me...ever.

| Good job, Mom!!! The poor baby probably hasn't had much, if any, training from what you told us about her life to this point. I find with Toto, much like a child, she acts like she wants/expects discipline. She learned, early on, the word "No" and responds to it in any tone!! Dreama is so beautiful ... I would find it hard to tell that sweet little face No!!!

| You are so lucky to have gotten such a beautiful little girl. I hope and pray for you that she has a even temperament and doesn't try to bite again. It will take time for Dreama to come around. When we got Missy, Muffie kept walking away from Missy or giving quiet growls as a sign to "go away". I'm sure she'll come around in time as she sees Wosie having a good time. Congratuations - again!

| Sleeping last night... We forgot to ask Chrisy the foster mom how/where Dreama sleeps! Even if we had asked her, I am sure I still would have crated her like I did last night. She slept in the plastic crate with the grated door and the holes in the side, kind of like the one below. I set this crate next to Wosie's wire crate, and we put them to bed at the same time. We did not hear a PEEP out of Dreama ALL NIGHT, and her crate was clean this morning, no accidents! YIPPEE!! I called Chrisy this morning and she was not ready to give us all of Dreama's equipment yet because she did not have the time to wash the bedding, clean some of the stuff, etc. I will give you more details on our deal after we pick up her equipment tomorrow. It's so cool!!!!! We are darn happy!
