My Full coat yorkie

Beautiful little loves! I have a question, how long does it typically take to grow a full yorkie coat from a puppy cut?

No, I don't show him due to lack of time because of my job. Yes, I do wrap his coat. I haven't cut his coat ever since I have him when he was 3 months old. I'm still learning how to make a good top knot btw. Here are the pictures of his father (1st pic) and his brothers (2nd n 3rd pic). They are both show dogs.

It took me around 18-20 months. The most difficult to grow is the coat around his face. I haven't cut his coat ever since I adopted him at the age of 3 month. His coat lengh is longer than his body as you can see at his pictures.

I started wrapping my boy when I think his coat is long enough. I think when he was around 10 months old. Just start from the body and let your baby uses to it. At the beginning Kenzo Jr chewed and bit his wrapping but little by little he will use to it. He can stay standing when I wrap him without having to lie down all the time because he already uses to it. Hope my explanation can help you.

I forgot to mention that the black color you see is his baby coat because I never cut his coat ever since I adopted him.

His family tree is jaw dropping- what gorgeous dogs!!! Are your Maltese in full coat also?

Yes he is.

At that time when I contacted my breeder, she had 4 puppies but only two puppies available. I would like to have a female yorky with silky coat. Unfortunately, she said she had a female cottony coat type but she had a silky male puppy and then I chose a male and when I saw Kenzo Jr, he reminded me to my previous yorkshire, Kenzo who just passed away a previous week, so I felt in love with him directly. He really fills my life with happiness.

If you see the pics of my rescue Yorkie you will see the differences , if I took him to a show it would be like letting Godzilla loose with all the pretty ones.
I could never imagine looking after such pristine dogs but I understand all the hard work that goes into grooming them .

What do you use for shampoo and conditioner also for tangling his coat ?

I use True Iconic beauty shampoo and True Iconic Beauty Silk conditioner also True Iconic Magic Treatment Oil
