Our 1st puppy! Here is our 1st family puppy, Pixie. She's 11 1/2 weeks old and extremely clever. I've had Pomeranians when I lived with my parents but she's our first puppy now that I'm married and have children of my own. Can't get over how clever they are and active.

Congratulations! So Happy for You! So happy to hear you have added a Yorkie to your life. Bella was our first dog ever and we love her to death. Yorkie's are unique and you may find you have questions about the breed. This is the place to come for help with anything you aren't sure about. The people here know alot and are always wiling to help and support you when you potty train, may reach a finicky eating stage, or whatever! Your life will be forever changed for the better with Pixie's love! Welcome.

Thanks everyone for the welcome. Pixie is an absolute doll. We only have her 2 1/2 weeks but she's 95% toilet trained already. She goes to the back door to be let out to go to the toilet. The only time she goes in the house is when I don's realise she's at the back door but other than that we've had very few accidents. She also has learned sit and I'm starting her in puppy training classes this Saturday. She doesn't bark which is great. The only problem we have with her is that she's very fond of using her tiny sharp puppy teeth and we are constantly having to redirect her to her toys instead of our fingers but I've read that's normal for puppies and I'm sure the puppy training classes will help. She's only 11 1/2 weeks old so I think she's doing great for her age.
