| Help! Getting this girl soon! Hello all! I have a little girl reserved that I will pick up around July 4th. She was born on April 13 and weighs 1 lb 7 oz right now. I know this is a weird question to ask and I will love her just the same but do you think she looks a little funny? Is this normal? Her litter mates have more of the typical yorkie qualities. Did anyone else have a puppy who looked like this? (Sorry I'm on my phone and can't upload a normal picture so I pinned it to a pinterest board haha) http://pinterest.com/pin/110619734574043212/ |

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | No dog is perfect, even champions have some flaws, but breeders try to breed out the flaws, the only thing I notice is wide set ears. Here's a picture of what I'm talking about. In this picture, Example A is the best as its ears are not to far apart or to close. Example B the ears are set to wide and example C the ears are set to close. She's adorable though, and you may even start loving wide set ears as a preference. Remember, standard is for breeders, not for pet owners, all pets are perfect!

| Thank you! That's very helpful! The ears won't be an issue. I will always love the girl I had just never see a puppy that looked like this before and was curious. Her hair seems much longer than her siblings so that's a good sign! |

| (I'm not an expert, have two yorkies, my first) Will you be having her checked by a vet? If you think something is wrong with her, and a vet check finds it, is there a return policy? Will the breeder have her checked by a vet? She looks lovely. Pups can look so different, they change so much, it hard to tell what they will end up like. Apart from obvious breed standards. Plus one pic can give a false idea of what a dog looks like.

| Looks like a beautiful Yorkie to me. I find that Yorkies come in a wide variety of looks, shapes and sizes, not just the "breed standard". Unless you are looking for a show dog, just accept her and love her own uniqueness. |
