| My Beautiful Miss Lady Winnie!!! Hi all!!! Since I brought Winnie home grooming has been a big deal!! This is my first yorkie...and quite frankly the first dog I have ever had that required so much attention!!! I think I spend more time on her hair than mine!! haha BUT.....I have loved every minute of it! Persistence is key...and really the older she gets the easier her hair seems to be to handle. She actually gets excited now when she sees the brush and comb come out of the bag in the morning! She used to be impossible. She still wiggles at first when it comes to her top knot but after a minute she actually puts her little head down and patiently waits for me to finish. Then she gets her Zukes treats...that seals the deal for her! I just wanted to share some pictures from yesterday....bath day for her. When she was a pup she got a bath every week. Then we started every other week. We stretched this last one a whole month just cleaning her face every day when she got brushed. she was getting a little dry from the heat in the house I think. Any way...I did want to say thanks to all the folks on here who have offered advice and support in my Winnie Hair Battle!!!! Here is some cuteness for you!!! |

| Thank you everyone! Yes....her ears are ginormous! The hair started growing and they never flopped....and she just looks so cute with all the hair so I have left it. Someone said it give her a heart shaped face and I hadn't noticed it until then! Her black hair seems like it changes every day....some days it looks more silver and then the next day it looks less silver haha |

| She is so cute. Good for you..... starting the brushing and grooming early so it becomes part of the routine, and they get used to it. It is much harder if you wait too long and they hate brushing, especially if they get mats. Her hair will change a lot over the next year and get even more manageable and beautiful.

| Your baby is so cute! I am new on here. Is there a way I can click on the pictures in your post so I can see them better? How old is Winnie and how much does she weigh? I have a brand new Yorkie I got for Christmas. He is much bigger than I expected. He is not yet 4 months old and he weighs 7 lbs. already! He was black and tan when I got him but he is quickly turning silver. I was hoping he would stay black and tan but he still owns my heart. |

| Winnie is growing up, what a pretty girl! My girls come to me when they need their hair fixed...I tell Mimi, 'fix hair' & she runs to me. She knows that means we're going outside for walkies.
