| Jeter's first grooming! My 12 week old, Jeter, went to the groomer for the first time yesterday, he looks so cute! The groomer told me that my baby has some set of lungs and screaming bloody murder the entire time. My 8 yr old was a nightmare when he first started going to the groomer, he was a biter and screamer, he's come a long way. I asked that his ears be tipped so they stand, hopefully. Both his parents' ears stand. My 8 yr old has floppy ears and I don't care, he is perfect just the way he is. They only bend at the tips and it is so cute. I would love it if the baby's ears would stand but I will love him just the same if they don't. How short should the hair be on the tipped ears? I thought they would be shaved bald but they aren't, they are very short the last 1/3 of the ear. |

| Both Jeter & DaVinci are cuties! The 1/3rd tip of the ears are shaved, it looks good from the pic. Give him a couple of months, sometimes teething will make ears drop. If it's meant to be up, then it will go up.

| Thanks everyone! They are both so good, Jeter is training so fast! If his ears stay floppy I don't mind at all, his big brother has floppy ears and I think they are precious babies either way. I did tape his ears last night but he got it off in no time. I have my clippers at home, I am a hairstylist, and if my mom will hold him I will shave the tips a little shorter and tape them again. My 8 year old lets me trim him up in between grooming and I would really love it if Jeter will let me trim him also. |
