| Gucci His past is some what of a mystery but his story is, puppy mill, rescue, new owner died, husband hated him, stayed with neighbor, new owner, then new owner, then us. Just over a year ago, the vets(multiple) said he was 10-12 years old. We are his pretty quiet retirement home. We've had him almost a year and a half, April 2013. His walks are now intermittent. He gets carried for a short distance almost every time out instead of walking the couple of miles. He gets peppy while off leash on some nearby trails, probably runs faster than he should, tires and then gets carried till he recovers. |

| What cute, sweet lil boy Gucci looks like. He was blessed to have you find him, to have a happy relaxed life that he deserved years ago. Such a pretty lil boy.

| Gucci seemed to improve quite a bit this last couple of weeks, not as much carrying, more and faster walking.... I actually had to jog to keep up with him a couple days ago, and, I'm pretty sure the walk was a full 3 miles.... not the jogging part. I wrote this next part for a different thread but thought this would be a good place for it as well: With this warmer weather it's been a routine of Gucci's to wander down to the pond during our now near daily walks. Today was no different. LOL He was muddy! Worse than the pictures below. Usually after his walks into the mud we find a place with much cleaner water to rinse him off.... today wasn't one of those days. So, once we returned home, both of us needed a shower. Him and I just jumped in and showered away. Him with his dog shampoo and me with the Irish Spring. After a vigorous toweling off he went racing into the living room with that little stub of a tail undulating. He bounced from leather couch to chairs rubbing his head and body on everything. Now, that stub was racing like I hadn't seen it before. And the rolling on the floor, looked like an epileptic fit with intermittent changes in locations around the room...always the stub in motion. I gotta be honest, he doesn't care so much for the shower but the towel and then the living room antics.... I think he truly loves. He's a very reserved, on guard watching dog almost always so this was unusual to see. My better half usually bathes him about every two weeks, that's not counting his recent swims in local creeks or Lake Washington. Last edited by MarkFromSea; 09-05-2014 at 12:38 AM. |

| OMG, mud on the legs, did DW see this lol. What fun, beautiful area for exploring. I LOVE the pic of him in the water looking at enticing ducks lol. What I wouldn't give to see my Cody in that situation lol. But I would have his retractable leash on him, I don't have him long enough to know what he would do, crazy boy that he is. Gucci is a lil sweetie. You are a good dad.

| What a precious little doll! How in the world anyone who had him in their possession couldn't just love him silly and eat him up with a spoon is beyond me! Now he's found himself a responsible, loving, safe home with two very kind and lovely people who really, deep-down care about him and are giving him just the right life for a little elder getting on in years. I'd say Gucci has it made!!! And I'm sure his mommy and daddy feel they hit the Yorkie jackpot!!! Bless you for giving him a home!

| Oh wow, Gucci is so adventurous! Love the shot where he's watching the duckies. IDK what my guys would do, probably stand in the mud & look @ me, saying 'help, I think I'm sinking!' (that's what I would do haha)...city slickers loll.

| Thanks to all of the comments! His mamma uses the kid gloves on him, I'm like the older brother that takes him out and gets him in trouble. LOL He will always love her more. IDK why! LOL She fattens him up, I take him out for walks. When we first got him, there was no muscle tone or fullness to his butt and rear legs, now, they are like drum sticks and thighs of a fat chicken. He still sleeps a lot and lays in his bed "watching" but it has been fun experiencing the changes in him. One was kisses, neither one of us could give him a peck on the forehead when we got him with out a growl or aversion response. Now, you can just see his eyes melt to half closed... Pretty sure he appreciates it. |
