Absolutely stunning. It thrills me to come across pups from Deb that are just perfect and as healthier than ever. Im so happy you got to share the opportunity to getting one of her amazing babies. I sure cant wait to get mine. So far this month is starting off fast. Penny is a doll of a name as well. Im also sooooo very glad your in the therapy area as well. I would love for Mickey && Minnie to want to be outreach pups. If not thats fine. We will still show our love wherever their paws touch this earths ground. : )

OMG! she is ADORABLE! I bet you can't stay mad at her when she does that little head tilt. LOL. And that group picture is the cutest thing! I couldn't help but laugh at the white poodle's facial expression.....doesn't seem too pleased about the photo shoot!

Thanks everyone for your nice comments. It was very nice of you all to take the time to post.

It seems like every day that I look at her and think, "OMG! She is so beautiful! Is this really OUR dog?"

Aww thanks, you give us too much credit! It's just solid basic training and taking them everywhere to desensitize them to noise and different environments.

We sure hope so! We're working on it! Part of it is they have to be well groomed, well pretty much immaculate, within 24 hours of stepping foot, or should I say paw, into any facility, so Penny's going to need her own comb and brush soon.

I work in the financial district of San Francisco, but we live south of the city in the 'burbs. On a good day, about a 25 minute drive.

If Mickey and Minnie are at all like Penny and love people, then that is the major part of it. After that is the solid basic training, etc. Congratulations and good luck! Don't forget to post pics!

No, we CAN'T stay mad at that face! Who could? I mean, really! Cuteness as a weapon!

The white poodle is actually a schnoodle (rescue schnauzer/poodle mix) Her name is Cici, and she is Guinness' partner. Her mom and my wife go together to therapy visits at Stanford Hospital and Lucille Packard Children's Hospital.

Oh and Cici was just very serious about her work that day!

If you ever get the inkling to, you guys should join our South Bay Yorkshire Terrier Group.

You can check it out at Meetup.com. We go all over the bay area but have a monthly meetup in San Jose at Reed Dog Park. Loads of fun and lots of Yorkies! Everyone is super nice and crazy about their Yorkies, ha ha.

Hi Connie! Thanks you for asking and great to hear from you! Penny is no longer the plump Yorkie

as once described. She has been doing exceptionally well with her obedience classes, but much of our attention these days are focus on her therapy dog training. Although she has the temperament and obedience training she still gets spooked in new situations, noises, people, object, surroundings etc. IMO.. This is a major part of therapy dog training ... getting your dog to the point where they recover quickly reaction instead of becoming so fearful that it triggers the fight of flight reaction.

The assisted living facility where she visits surprise us with an organized fashion show for the therapy dogs and since we don't want to disappoint I contacted Connie in dire need of a beautiful custom dress for Penny. This is a big deal for the senior residents. They made flyers for their families, have plans on baking treats and will be judging the doggie outfits. We were so honored that Penny, a therapy dog in training, was cleared by our evaluators to participate. And equally honored that she will be wearing one of Connie's dresses representing a vendor at YT. So yes... I will do my best to take photos.

Guinness will be a busy boy for the next two months. 1. He has 8 therapy visits. 2. Two fancy parties for volunteers- at one party the volunteer of the year is announced/awarded. Our therapy dogs won last year, first time in history of the hospital a group won. 3. A donor event for our program at the hospital. 4. Therapy dog photo shoot on a fire truck. 5. Remembrance event for the children's hospital 6. Showing Penny the ropes for the fashion show. He'll be wearing his tux.
