If you do, Watch for kids swimming in Lake Lexi! I should have asked if they had a lifeguard on duty... LOL! Hopefully you won't get a lake, the storms that cause them are NO FUN!!

We had one very strong storm roll through right at 3pm when we were going to head into the movies yesterday. We decided we best get home and get our umbrella/gazebo put away before we loose another one to a storm and wind.

We rarely get standing water but you like Cinders looks very inviting. Looks like a great opportunity for the kids to have some fun.

Glad your ok. It's always best to get outside items secure before storms.

We had straight line winds- (whatever those are, I still say it was a tornado) a few years ago that took our glass patio table, umbrella and all, over the 4 ft high fence and into the neighbors yard. We lost three 40 to 50 foot trees in that storm too. I'm grateful we only had the huge puddle this time.

The winds here were crazy, straight line winds I think mean when they blow horizontally and they did we could see it plain as day. That's why we headed home to get out stuff put away instead of going to the movies. We got soaked, I was totally drenched. The news reported that a possible small tornado in the next town over.

I would gladly send you some if I could. We should have a dry weekend this weekend. Yes!! The only bad thing is (bad but good)...Lake Cinders has disappeared. Good thing she went fishing when she did!

Thanks for sending your rain to Texas. We've had wonderful rain for 2-3 days now and at present, it's raining really hard. It's been good, long, soaking rains and all of the 2 1/2 days of off and on watering I did last week was obviously another reason it's been raining so much. All I need to do to encourage a good long rain is to water enough to really soak the entire foundation, the trees and the lawn - a good $75.00 worth of extra watering - and shortly the monsoon rains move right in! And it's really cool for this time of the year. At the time you started your post, it had been so hot and dry for so long and then, boom, great rains here. Time to stop computering and listen to a good audio book until I fall asleep with the sound of rain in the background.

Isn't that always how things go? I'm glad you got a break from the weather down there- send us some of that dry heat, and I'll be happy! The humidity here is awful! Ms. Cinders has moved her bed so it's by a fan now- hogging all the air from her humans! The Brat!

haha. Tibbe hogs the fan at times, especially after he's been outside and is hot. I usually have a fan on even when the A-C is on and love moving air. Well, so does Tibbe and he'll plop himself in front of the fan anytime he's extra warm.
