| Chase just shy of 11 weeks Took this picture today when he was out playing in the yard. It's hard to get him to sit still. However, I've discovered that he LOVES cheese and will sit on command just so he can have some yummy queso LOL |

| I kinda miss the floppy ears. They were so cute. Right now they'll flop a little or one will flop and the other is straight up. And boy is he smart. I don't and didn't know enough about Yorkies but are they known to be a smart breed? He understands no and knows when he did something bad and has quickly picked up on my simple phrases like eat food and go potty and night night etc. I'm not sure he quite knows his name yet but we are getting there. I worry because we have four kids aged 4, 7, 12, and 13. They're all gone for the Summer to their other parents, so all he knows is us and our quiet house and our undivided attention. He has met my 12yr old son because he hadn't left for his Nana's yet when we decided to bring Chase into our family. He loved my son like crazy. He hasn't met the girls yet though. And I have no doubt that the 4yr old stepdaughter of mine is going to be rough/careless with him, and I'm not very excited about it. And...my 7yr old daughter and the 4yr old stepdaughter both say how they want him to sleep with them etc so I can only imagine what kind of back and forth will happen with him between those two... |

Chase is obviously off to a great start. The more you train when they are young, the better. You are going to have your hands full when the kids come home, especially because Chase is so small. My 4 little nephews visited me when Max was 6 months old. I had to supervise closely because my nephews were accustomed to a larger, sturdier dog. We had to put up baby gates to make sure the boys didn't accidentally let Max out the door. I am a quiet person, so the increase in activity and noise level was a big change for Max. If you can bring Chase to crowded, noisier places to expose him to different settings, that would be ideal in preparing him for when your kids return.

| Aww what a cutie! Glad he sits for cheese. I just figured out that a treat in hand makes a pup sit for a picture!
