| Welcome Home Prima!! Yesterday, we made the 3 hour trip to Connecticut to pick up our adorable little Prima! Let me start by saying that we've been waiting since December 2012 to bring her home. So yesterday was HIGHLY anticipated! After finding a breeder & hearing about upcoming litters, I picked a litter from my favorite two dogs. Then I waited for the breeding to take & Prima was born on February 5, 2013. Prima is 16 weeks old now & she's FINALLY home!! Prima is 2.5 pounds of confident furry adorableness I can't even put into words how cute she is! Her face is perfect. Even as a puppy, her coat is oh so soft & her black and deep gold make my other two jealous She holds her head high when she struts, yet she still has respect for the seniors in her pack. She's also very well mannered. Even though she has that puppy playfulness, she still maintains this calm, put-together vibe. I don't really know how to explain it. It's almost like she's thinking on a more mature level or something. She's not a complainer...no whimpering, no whining. She's very content with following the rules. She's very sweet & so smart! She knows her name, she comes on command & today we're going to work on "sit" & "paw". My breeder was kind enough to give me a washable piddle pad that she used in her kennel. That's making potty training a lot easier. She's only had one accident so far! (That I know of, Lol) I'm really eager to see how her personality blossoms. Yoshi & Momo are still getting used to her. But they've warmed up to her considerably in the past 12 hours. They're 7-8 pounds & they look like monsters compared to little Prima! In fact, Prima is so tiny that she fits through the bars of my baby gates! She struggles to make it into her Cloud 9, so I put a little Ikea stepstool next to it to help her up. The funny thing is, she actually knows which Cloud 9 is hers & only uses in that one! I slept in the "puppy room" last night with all 3 on the daybed. No one got smushed & no little puddles this morning Prima is in love with my 9 year old son, Vincent. That makes me sooo happy. There hasn't really been one particular pup of ours that he's bonded with. So it's so wonderful to see how much Prima boosts his confidence. And I know that she loves the attention! I have to thank Ms. Susan Dodge of Clover Hill Yorkshire Terriers in the Great North Woods of New Hampshire. For the past 6 months, Susan kept me updated on Prima's development by weekly emails & videos. She gracefully answered all of my annoying questions about everything from food, to spaying, to the process of choosing show dogs from a new litter. Although she was taking care of about 10 puppies, from 2 litters at the same time as Prima, I felt like I was her only client. She has been much more than I ever expected from a breeder, and I am truly proud to have one of her dogs. I'm looking forward to maintaining a relationship with Susan through the years & sharing news and photos of Prima as she grows up. Thanks also to all of my friends at YT for teaching me to "find a breeder, not a puppy". Honestly, that's the BEST advice you could give anyone looking for a new puppy. It makes everything fall into place so perfectly. And without further ado, the photos of Prima's first day home...Prima's Homecoming - a set on Flickr

| I'm so happy for you! Prima a little beauty. I'm sure the time Susan has spent socializing Prima has made a big difference, and buying from someone who breeds for health, conformation, and temperament really shows. I know my Katie's confidence and amazing temperament is because of her breeder's devotion to her. I wish you infinite love, happiness, and health with your precious little girl and with all of your babies and family.
