We are gettin our little parti yorkie 1 day before he turns 8 weeks old. He's the cutest! Waiting seems like it's taking forever!

She definitely looks normal. She's adorable! I'm glad you are able to wait until 11 weeks. It really is important that puppies get the socialization from their momma that they need... Their moms teach them bite inhibition and so much more during that time. Congrats!

Thank you, yeah everyone tells me is the right thing. I hope she is a good teacher with the bite inhibition hehe
would be cool if she could teach potty training lol

I don't think it will hurt your pup to come to you at 11 weeks instead of 12 weeks, but if you have the option, why not wait one more week? Those last 4 weeks of the 12 weeks aid the puppy in socialization skills such as biting. Also, it just gives it that much more time to get stronger and healthier by being with the mother.

Alita, I didnt know better and brought my Huey home at 7 1/2 weeks We both survived and he is a great, healthy dog, but I think that many of his issues like his skittishness might not have been so bad if he had been a little better socialized before I brought him home. I didn't know enough about yorkies to even be concerned about things like hypoglycemia that I have since learned. I am very lucky he didn't have any problems
You are very lucky to have found YT before bringing your new baby home. There are many knowledgeable people on this site and everyone is absolutely passionate about yorkies! I hope you stick around a long time and learn lots and share your experiences with us, too.

aww is he skittish? they are so sweet. Yeah I am truly lucky to have found YT. I feel you all are gonna be with us in every step we take., thanks for your sweet message I will definitely stick around for a long time and share everything with you all ! =)
