| returned member Hi I havent been on the forum for a year or so since my yorkie 'JET' died. I have got a new member to my family now and he is called Tiny. He is a small yorkie, sold to me as a miniature but his legs have grown that tall I'm not sure is as his name suggests, Tiny. However he has lots of spirit and brings happiness to the home once again. There is one small problem worrying us though and that is he seems to cough a lot at night and sometimes sounds like he is struggling to get his breathe, does anyone know what this could be? Bronchitis?? Only seems to happen at night and not every night. Thanks Sharon |

| Welcome! Back!! How old is Tiny? Perhaps he has Kennel cough. I think it'd be best if little Tiny went to see a vet.

| welcome back and congrats on tiny!! i would have him seen by your vet just to be safe. or at least call them and let them know of his symptoms. i know others on here may chime in with thoughts but depening on how old he is and whats going on its better to be sure in my opinion. im so glad you found a new baby to love.

| Please take Tiny to the vet asap. He could be sick with many things, and only the vet can tell you what. I'm so glad that you got a new baby to love

| So glad you have Tiny. It does help after losing a beloved companion to be able to have another one day! On the cough, you better have him checked out by his vet ASAP. Dogs don't normally cough, let alone perhaps struggle to breathe, every night. He could have a sore throat, kennel cough, maybe worms, etc.

| Welcome back and congrats on Tiny. Would love to see pics of him For the cough, please take him into the vet..it could be any one of a number of things so not sure how to treat until you know. Kennel cough, bronchitis, anything..but it could turn into pneumonia easily if not treated. Deeply sorry for the loss of your precious Jet I'm glad you found Tiny to give you some puppy lovin to help you heal!

| Thanks for all your lovely replies. Tiny is 8 months old but he hasn't been to a kennel and he doesn't have the cough every day it's just now and then. I will take him to see the vet. Thanks Sharon |
