To make a long story short, I think he's a gorgeous little guy, and he's named Payton (after Peyton Manning), being from Indiana (of course).
He's 3 years old and she has shown him, but said that is coat just doesn't grow fast enough, or dense enough to really be shown much (I don't know much about that, I only know that if he is even close to show quality, he is by far the finest quality dog I've ever had).

So, we emailed back and forth, and I found that a lot of his traits were traits I was looking for in my next Yorkie. And, she gave me a real good price, so it was really a no-brainer! I spoke with her on the phone, and she was a real sweetheart, and we just really hit it off!

So, I'm from Illinois and she and the Yorkie are in Northern Indiana, so this weekend she is going to meet me near the IL-IN border, about half way between our home locations, and deliver to me her beautiful little Yorkie boy, Payton. Please wish me luck, and I want to say that I feel really blessed to have found such a wonderful little sort of "rescue" dog! I think he's beautiful - but then again I'm prejudiced! I only have this one pic, that is a good one. But, if you like, I'll post more after I get him.

Thank you all for the wonderful compliments. I'm sorry I haven't gotten back on here sooner, to thank you all...but been busy with the new doggy, as you can imagine.

He's doing great and he and I have become inseparable buddies. He will hardly let me out of his sight, which is fine with me. That was how my other Yorkie was too, just was just crazy about her daddy.

I think he's the answer to prayer, and I mean the Yorkie of my dreams! I never, ever in a million years thought that I'd own a Yorkie of such caliber.

Best of luck to you all, I hope all your babies stay healthy for a long time. I will try to post his progress on here from time to time. And, also post about some of the things I've learned after owning Yorkies for the past 14 years, so others won't make the same mistakes as I have.

One thing I would like to caution the younger, more beginning dog owners is if your dog is taking any kind of medication (like for arthritis or something)...get at least yearly blood work done...and possibly every 6 months. It may cost a little, but may give you more time with your baby. I learned that lesson the hard way!
