Thank you so much. I use a Nikon DSLR, the D300. Any of today's newer cameras are capable of producing great color, but this camera is about four years old.

I have a Nikon L810. I think Nikon is a great camera. I just have to learn how to use it correctly!

That's a eally nice camera. If you need help with what the settings mean or how to optimize things when you process them, I'd be glad to help.

My gosh, she is utterly stunning! If she doesn't have the cutest yorkie tongue, then I don't know who does. And the face, please. Just adorable.

How do you keep her coat so beautiful? Please advise that you know the all time secret of yorkie grooming, bc I can't groom my kiddos to look like this!

Thanks, Ann, so very much. Your enthusiasm made me smile, and I always bubble over with excitement because of my little girl. We laugh all day from Katie because of her adorable personality--so happy, affectionate, confident, courageous, intelligent, and incredibly sweet. I wish I could say there's something special that I'm doing with Katie's grooming. I use PEK conditioner, Isle of Dogs #10 or CC Spectrum 10 shampoo and usually a first wash with Jerob Cocoa Butter and Mink Oil shampoo. Really, I think it's because she genetically has such a beautiful, hard silk coat that's so easy to maintain. She was in full show coat for over a year after she got her championship, so she is so used to being groomed and her coat was so well taken care of. Her breeder is an outstanding trainer, too, so Katie came to me as a three year old so well-adjusted, trained, and really loved, and it shows in how happy and confident she is. We are so lucky that her breeder entrusted us with our precious little girl.

You sound head over heels . I bet she has J utterly wrapped around her paw. I'm still sooo happy that you and J finally found a furbaby who felt like "yours"...I knew you would, when the time was right.

I've tried PEK, and think I'll try it again. The last time I bathed them, I used a cleansing conditioner (similar to Wen), and Marcel's coat in particular did SO much better on this! He is silky...but not in the way that Katie is...I can't really explain it...he has a more difficult/drier coat.

You're right about John. He adores Katie, and she loves him, too, so much. She doesn't leave his side when I'm at work. When I come home, she showers me with kisses, but she always interrupts my kisses to run over to give him some, too. Then she returns to me for more kisses. With John's back and his arm still not better, we knew we couldn't handle a puppy. JacquelineBabco and Gemy worked together behind the scenes without our knowledge to find Katie for us once I mentioned I was considering an older baby . We are so grateful to have such dear friends and such a special little girl, and we could not be happier with our little girl. She has an amazing disposition and personality. She loves people, and she came to us so loved and loving. You know yourself with Pfeiffer how wonderful a little one is who is so loved by their breeder.

Your little doll is so incredibly gorgeous. My heart melts when I see him. Marcel reminds me so much of Ashley and Gracie when they were babies. I don't think he could be any more perfect. Katie's hair is such a smooth silk, and it takes a beating with how hard she plays, runs, and the fact that she is in and out of a baby pool to cool off every five to minutes to cool off. I think the PEK must be helping it, because it's not dry at all. The evening primrose oil (Isle of Dogs 10 or 12) and the cocoa butter and mink oil shampoos are also so conditioning to the skin and coat. I bought some Argan oil to use after she swims, but I haven't tried it yet. Still, with Marcel and your other precious little ones, I don't think I'd change a thing. They are so beautiful!

Lisa- so glad you & john are head over heels in love with your beautiful little katie. i'm sure she feels the same way about both of you too! just wanted to let you know we've been thinking about ya!
my little pixie is the same way when it comes to chasing little tiny balls. she is obssessed and that is by far her favorite toy. we even go so far sometimes as to call her a yorkshire retriever. she's my first yorkie that will retrieve properly and bring it right back to your hand and repeat, repeat, repeat. i get tired way sooner than she does LOL! that little game was a life saver over this summer as the heat topped 90 & 100 degrees. of course, i'm protective and don't want to excersize her in those conditions so she was able to use up her energy indoors retrieving. zowi usually sits on my lap and lets out an occasional bark to ensure she is a part of the fun & games while relaxing with mommy. sometimes she runs after the ball too but seems so puzzled as to why pixie has so much fun - hah!
