Here's my pretty chocolate champion line girl, Paris. I dearly love her.

Beautiful dog!! I had heard of Golden, Parti, Biewer and "regular" but not Chocolate. It is hard to tell in a picture...what makes her color different from a "regular" Yorkie??

She is chocolate on the body and nose, her head is gold like the standard color yorkie.

She is gorgeous. I'd like to get a chocolate girl, think I will wait til Oliver is one. Right now we are renting a townhouse, I'd like to be in a home by then and then get Oliver a little sister.

Show dog? Only traditional colored yorkies are allowed in the show ring. How could this even be possibly? Reputable show breeder would NEVER allow fault colors into their lines These types of broad, generalized and bold statements are used to promote puppy sales.

actually, the breeder had no clue that the dogs carried the genes to produce chocolate. These genes are hidden and very well hidden in some of the sjow dogs. My comment was not to promote puppy sales. I was simply stating where the dog came from. She is a beautiful dog born from superior parents.

It's not a matter of allowing it, sometimes these little surprises just happen. All of the non standard colors originated in the show kennels.

Its funny how others on here post their colored yorkies but no one says a thing to them. They just always want to single me out. I am certainly not the only person who has other colors so not sure why they always want to single me out to make nasty comments about.

A reputable show breeder would NEVER have allowed a color fault to be sold for breeding. Show breeders who breed for the betterment of the breed would have IMMEDIATELY spayed and neutered the pair and they would have been sold as pet only. So to make calms that any dog carries champions in their background with a color fault, yet has been sold with breeding rights speaks volumes to the original owner of the breeding pair. A reputable breeder would be horrified that a color fault had popped up in their lines. I've seen puppies that were held back for the show ring only to have a very minor fault (bite, ear tip, etc) be then sold as pet only. There is a standard that is set for the show ring and those who do show hold that standard very sacred. Those that do not should be held suspect. Furthermore, those that breed so far off the standard with a rainbow of colors should all be help suspect for their true motivatations to breed. If you have enough money you can buy whatever you want from places like Argentina and Europe. That is where many of these "champions" come from carrying lines with color faults.

Did I mention that Paris is a cutie. Not trying to diss your little cutie just trying to clear up any misconceptions regarding color faults and champion lineage

The definition of a reputable breeder is a matter of opinion. In MY opinion, a reputable breeder would not breed brother to sister or father to daughter, yet show breeders do this all the time, to get the look that they want, and because of this, the faulty colored yorkies were born.
