Well (according to what I've read) basically a Biewer is a parti-colored yorkie that was bred from German lines by Mr. and Mrs. Biewer. In the US the dogs were just considered off-color yorkies that could still be registered by the AKC, but not shown. Biewers can't be registered with the AKC and are registered through several other registries. There is some controversy between several Biewer groups and registries over "the true Biewer". Supposedly they are now DNA proven as a separate breed. Woodrow is registered with the BBIR and his parents grandparents etc were registered with the IBC which is a german registry. Lots of "stuff" that makes no difference to me because I'd love him regardless. I'm not interested in showing. Woodrow is just my sweet, smart, loveable boy with a big personality like any yorkie. Hope that helps.

| Welcome, I love the name Woodrow, it's a perfect name for your boy. He looks so serious! He's adorable. I love the colors of the Biewers but the price has been a little too high for me right now. |
