| Teddy was always big. His mother and father Max and Lily are also mine and they are much smaller. Out of a litter of 5 pups he was twice as big as any of them. By the time he was 6 months he already weighed 10 lbs which was more than Max at 6 lbs and Lily at 8 lbs. He is now tipping the scales at 23lbs and he is 2 years old. Our vet believes that he just has the traits of an yorkie ancestor since we know for a fact that he is pure bred since we did the breeding! His brothers and sister all weigh less than 8lbs with Jordan, his sister, weighing only 4! |

| Good looking doggie you've got there! I'm so glad to find someone else who has a larger than standard Yorkie; I was beginning to think that Graysee was a mutant at 12 pounds. But you've allayed all my fears, now. I keep forgetting that Yorkies were originally around 25-30 pounds, before all the selective interbreeding brought their weights down to below 10 pounds. Too bad you're not in SE Texas; our "little" ones could meet! |
