| Help with Wendell's costume? A friend gave me this cute little pirate hat that was too small for her dog. So I got him a Striped shirt and pants (at Marshalls). It looks cute, but seems like something is missing to complete the costume. Any ideas on what I need to add? I was having trouble getting him to look up for the photo, so including a separate picture of the hat. |

| I think the custome is absolutely adorable! I think a little bag of gold coins (maybe the chocolate ones covered in gold wrap) might help set off the costume. I really think it is really cute just as is too.

| OMG that is adorable!! Maybe a little wooden chest of treasure as a prop, but as far as the costume goes, looks perfect to me

| I don't know how well this would go over with Wendell, but an eye patch would be cute He looks adorable, regardless.

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | Love the striped shirt that really makes the costume! You could add a sash around the waist, an eye patch, or a little parrot stuck to his shoulder, but this looks great to me, just like it is! LOL, nevermind, I just realized the bird on his hat is a parrot!

| Thank you for all of the ideas! I think I'll try a bandana as a sash ( from the picture in the link), an earring, and gold coins. I'll look around for an eye patch and sword at toy/costume stores. I may already have some boots - I think his previous owners had gotten him some that they passed along) I'll post a photo when we're done. Thanks again! |

| Make a peg leg? Just get some brown felt, make it look like wood with a sharpie marker, sew velcro on it, and wrap it around one of his back paws! I love it regardless. Gave me a much needed giggle. Very cute, indeed!
