Porscha is such an angel when she's sleeping. It's a totally different story when she's awake! Her taking nap before her trainer comes for the first time today to hopefully make her a fulltime angel though her mommy loves her just the way she is!

What a sleeping beauty! I love the little black tip of hair in her ponytail! Somehow it looks like it is a beauty mark! hahaha i dont know maybe Im crazy lol, but she is quite the adorable little baby!

awww thanks all for your amazing comments. I believe the tip of her hair being black is because she was completely black as a tiny pup and it grew out to blonde. Could that be??? someone needs to touch up her roots! LOL!

BTW...so her 1st training session on Monday went ok except he said the only way he feels to get her housebroken would be to put her back in the crate! i just cant do it! she's been with me now almost 10 months and with all she's been through with vets and and ERs her first few days with me she is traumatized by the crate. I attempted to put her in the crate the other night and for 8 hrs straight she cried while i cried in my bed. I just dont know what to do!

I know what you mean about feeling so bad to leave them crying in their crate! That IS a good way to potty train them though. But, since ur like me, you can try getting on a schedule with her. I don't know how often someone is home with her, but try getting her on a schedule where you feed her in the morning and after 30 minutes put her food up. Then about 15 to 20 minutes after eating, take her outside, then inside for nap/playtime, again 15 to 20 mins afterwards take her outside, etc. But just make sure you control when she eats so you can pretty much time it when she will need to go to the bathroom. And remember to ALWAYS praise her when she goes to the bathroom outside. If she is food motivated, bring a couple pieces of food with you when you take her outside and when she goes you can reward her with her food, that way she doesn't get chunky lol. At nighttime you may even have to set your alarm at set intervals and the intervals may change slightly until you figure out her routine. Dogs like schedules and consistency, so the more consistent you are with everything, the easier it will be to predict things and get her trained. Hope that helps!

Hello Dolcesmama! Thank you so much for the time you took to give me your advise. The only issue is that we are trying to train her to go inside vs out. I do take my pups for a walk once a day but only for fun. Hopefully this trainer can do something!

Your welcome. Here's an idea: Try the same technique, but instead of taking her outside to go wee, use baby gates or something to confine her to a small area that has pee pads/litter box/whatever you want her to pee on until she does it and again reward her, then let her out of "confinement". Don't put her in a crate though cuz she most likely will hold it in there and that should be a place to sleep and rest not pee. Try a small area like a bathroom or kitchen, or a tiled room if you have one so its easy to clean when there is accidents (and there will be for a little while) and try and watch her during those times until she goes so you can pick her up to put her in the right spot if she isnt doing it right.

Basically its the same concept, but instead of using the outdoors, you use a designated confined area where you can monitor her like you would if she was on a leash outside.
