| The first yorkie in our family was named Chip -- it was years ago and right around the time personal computers became a reality for average folks! So, our Chip was "as in Micro-chip." My mom said she also liked the name Chip because of the little Disney chipmunks, Chip & Dale. When my mom got a second one, she named her Zip as she would "zip" around the room in record time! So, we had Chip & Zip. Sometimes we'd call them Chip & Dip, especially when Zip was not getting the hang of training! I had joined the Navy just after mom got the yorkies, so I did not really get to spend a lot of time with them. Still, coming home on leave, I fell in love with those tiny bundles of love and knew that someday, I too, would have yorkies! Took me MANY years (due to money and small children in the home), but I finally got my yorkies! I will never be without them again, either. I am sure most here feel the same way!
