This little sweetie is a result of breeding our lovely Morkie to a light-colored Pomeranian stud. We called them "Porkies" and they were so much fun. Her new owner is extremely happy with her and sent me these pictures.

No such thing as a white yorkie, these are mixed breeds, make sure you know what you are addressing.

She sure is a mixed breed, and she's white, and looks like a Yorkie, so I called her a White Yorkie. One of a kind super dog. Love it :D

Not really a one of a kind. Lots of people are mixing breeds. I have a dog who was rescued that looks just like that but mine is a Maltese/Pom & looks like he could be that babies daddy, except he's neutered. The shelters are FULL of dogs just like that.

Looks more like just a white pommie...and people have been x-ing pomms and yorkies for a while now. Part of the "Designer dog" craze.
This isn't a white yorkie, I would think the closest thing to a white yorkie would be a Biewer with very little markings.
Why did you breed your maltese/yorkie? The dog shelters are overloaded with dogs just like these that are beeing PTS to make room for more. :( sad but true.

I believe she knows it's a mixed breed - as she did mention a morkie and a pom - Your pup is beautiful - I hope her new owner really enjoys her. Welcome to YT - you really will meet lots of nice, helpful people here:)

You said it perfectly! Its not a big deal what she calls it in colloquial terms, or if there are more around. Its not often you see one around (or at least I don't) so it is special! I am sorry your first post was initially met with such hostility! Most people are very nice on here so don't be discouraged!

I disagree. I think what she calls it is very important. There are a lot of inexperienced buyers out there and if you go around calling something a white yorkie that isn't a yorkie, people may not know better. It is false advertising IMO.

It misleads buyers into thinking they are buying something "rare" or something. It is a poor selling gimmick to refer to it as a white yorkie when it is nothing of the sort.

However, it is a very cute dog as long as it is referred to as what it is... a mix. I'm all for mixes. I have a morkie and I love her to bits, but she was sold as a mix and was never described to be an x colored yorkie because she's not.

Very cute. I love the term "porkie" haha. Looks like the ears are more of the pom, but that is a little yorkie face if I've ever seen one.

I don't see a report button for tags, but I feel the "white yorkie" tag should be removed from this thread. The dog is in fact a mix and not a white yorkie. I do not think it is fair to unsuspecting buyers to have this pop up on a search for those terms.

I am not sure if there is something the mods can do about this?

I am not trying to be a jerk, as the pups are VERY cute. However, as I said in a previous post they are mixes and NOT "white yorkies." I think it is wrong to represent them as such.

Oh, we had a little puppy when we lived in Houston that looked just like this and was absolutely an adorable grown dog. He was named Buffy and was our little star! Beautiful little puppy and it is like looking at little Buffy's puppy pictures all over again to see these. Thank you.

I feel it should be untagged. He isn't a white yorkie. He is a mix. He should be sold and advertised as such.

Again, I love mixes, but they are still mixes.

Semantics matter, especially in terms of mixed breeds. The dog is not a Yorkie. It's a Maltese-Pom-Yorkie mix. Call it hybrid, designer or mutt, but it's not a white yorkie. I'm pretty sure the YTCA, AMA, or Pomeranian Clubs would not think, although it's cute, that it does anything to improve any of the the breeds.

With thousands of mixes (and PB's) being put down daily in shelters across North America, it doesn't make sense for anyone to purposely add more mixes to the pet overpopulation.

Super dog, maybe. I hope her new owners love her to bits and spay her asap. But one of a kind she's not. Take a look at any shelter and you will find quite a few more just like her.
