| Camera shy! Any ideas? My little darling is so camera shy. The minute I get the camera out she slowly slides out of the room or runs and hides between my feet! I have a very small and quiet digital, but she acts like I'm stealing her soul! I've tried introducing her to the camera, no go. Dangled her favorite cookie, nope. Talked baby talk (fun when the hubby comes into the room). So far the only shots I have of my beautiful girl is when I manage to sneak up on her. Any suggestions? |

| One suggestion.... If I am going to try and get a picture of Piccolo, I pick the spot out days ahead of time and put a throw rug or something down to mark the spot. They I practice with Piccolo going to the spot and sitting. She loves this and thinks it is a trick. By picture day, she is so used to going to that spot that she runs to get there. So, if you can figure out a way to make it fun, I bet things will go better with the picture taking. It is hard though, and it takes a ton of pictures for me to get a good one. Good luck.

YT Addict | Try to associate the sound of the shutter (or turn on the beep) with treats. At first, don't show her the camera at all, hide it behind your back or in a pocket. Click, treat, click, treat, repeat. If your are having problems getting the dog near the camera to treat, try having your hubby shoot the camera in the next room. Then slowly move closer and closer to the camera.

| The only time I have any great luck taking pictures is when Sammy is in his bed and I call his name to get him to look at the camera. I tried to take Christmas pictures of him to put on YT. I wound up with pictures of the top of his head, the back of his head, his back and then one of him laying down licking himself!!!! He just won't pose for me! My son put him on my bed with pillows and teddy bears and got a cute picture. I will see if my son can put it on here. I don't know how to do that. Good luck with your camera shy pup!! |

| Luckily, Jackson has been a photo whore since I brought him home at 9 weeks, so I've never had the issue with him. However, my moms dog (RIP) HATED the camera. Like, despised it. I have no idea why. I tried putting it up to her and letting her sniff it, I tried putting treats on top of the camera, and around it... etc. Nothing ever worked. I have very few pictures of her because she was so terrified. It wasn't even the flash because I could pick up my phone and point it at her and she would still run!

| Teddy puts his ears down, pointing east and west, the instant he sees the camera. Both my boys are shy about posing. I try talking silly, giving treats. Neither of them ever look particularly happy in their pictures.
