So, this is how I spent a good part of my Saturday today...preparing a place for the new Peyton. I am calling it his nursery. :rolleyes: My husband is too sweet to think I am strange. He said it looks nice and even asked me if I was going to take pictures and post it on "that Yorkie site?" ha ha I told him of course!! :animal-pa

So, here is my little boys nursery....just three weeks from today he will be home! Can't wait!! (The last is a picture from when I visited him.)

That's really nice! I like the house. I like the name plate, too, as well as the cute bows. You've been nesting today. I hope there will be room for Peyton by the time he comes home.:D

That is exactly what I told my husband...that I was nesting! Yes, nesting for a little Yorkie, crazy!, but I don't care! :)

Sophia went in there and looked around, went in the house, tried to cuddle up on the blanket, then changed her mind and came back out.

Guess she prefers my lap! Just as Peyton will. His nursery is just for when I have to leave.

Thanks for the compliments....I am so proud of it!

You should be proud of it. It's a wonderful space for a puppy.

I forgot to tell you the picture of him is cute!:p He's a little doll.

Wow, that is some terrific Peyton place. He will surely love it. He is so adorable in the picture. I know you just can hardly wait to get her arms around that little love bug.

Awww...how sweet, I love Peyton's nursery. It looks so cute all made up and waiting just for him, the blue bows are the perfect decorative touch:) I'm excited for you and can't wait to see more pictures of Peyton, he is a doll!

Cute little nursery. I bet anxiety is just eating you up right now. Like a kid at Christmas, waiting for Santa. His nursery is going to end up being the whole house though! lol I have had dogs in the past and have never fallen so deeply in love than I have with my yorkie girls! Can't wait to see pics of Peyton as he grows.

Peytons' nursery looks wonderful!!! He is going to love it in there! I'll bet the next few weeks just fly by and he will be home with you before you know it! Please post pics too :):)

One piece of advice if I may- it looks like there is carpet underneath that nursery- you may want to put some plastic or a piece of linoleum or something in case of accidents at the beginning.

Thank you everyone! :). I agree...just missing the fluffy baby! For the floor, I am going to cut a tarp to fit, then cover that with a blanket. The carpet is semi new and so I'd better watch out for it! Also, his "dresser" will come out when he comes home. Don't want him chewing it up!

Believe it or not...the house is from CVS...just $10! My breeder has one in pink...and the puppies kept going in there and laying down. They loved it. I think it will help with his transition home because it is just like his now.

Thanks for all the compliments. I have been keeping myself busy the last couple days going through Sophia's clothes and sorting anything out that will work for Peyton. Running out of things to do.....hurry Jan 8th!

:thumbup: Good advice. I might start out with pads all over the bottom of the X-pen. That is what I did. Then little by little take them away til there is only one left. I love those pad holders but my stubborn Ben will not use a pad in the holder! I don't get it. I even put a used pad in there thinking he would get the idea and maybe think he had already used it once, but no -- not going to do it. So, I had to go back to putting the pad on the floor. With you starting to use the pad holder early, it will probably not be a problem. I bought those same little fabric dog house/beds for mine for Christmas -- hope they all (yours & mine) like them!

Your set-up is so cute and sure shows your enthusiasm and love for your new puppy. I wish you both the best as you add him to your family. Nothing like a Yorkie pup!

Oh my goodness! What a ridiculously adorable nursery for your sweet Peyton! He is going to love his new "room"!

Peyton's Place....I love it!!!! It is perfect. If I remember correctly mom's really do the nesting thing about 3 weeks before giving birth...LOL

If Peyton loves the fabric house and is using one at his breeder's home, maybe you can take it over there for now and let him and his siblings use yours sometimes and then take it back home and it will already smell like him and his siblings. Might make it seem even more familiar for him....just an idea, if your breeder agrees.

Thanks...got the house at CVS for $10. The breeder has one and the puppies seem to love it!
