Mini photo shoot of the girls...

We're flying out to see my family 1 week from today, and I had read it's a good idea to carry a recent photo of your kiddos with you just in case one of them gets away from you....so you'll have a photo to show the people who are looking!! So, we did our mini photo shoot for those photos, and I just thought I'd share their most recent pics (Maya especially...she changes so much!! She'll be 6 months old on Sunday. Bella is 2 1/2 yrs old. And they both weigh ~4.75 lbs. right now )

Awww, thank you!!!! That's one good thing about being a worrier I suppose...trying to have thought of everything before it happens!

Maya really is changing! I think you're right...I think her coloring will probably be more like her daddy. I think she's just gorgeous! Look at all that hair!! She is definitely fluffier than Bella....everyone says she looks bigger even though they weigh within 1 oz of one another right now. She's still a little bit shorter height-wise than Bella (if you can imagine! lol, Bella is a shorty!! ) and has a little stockier build than Bella too, but it's her beautiful thick mane that fools the eye! Her hair actually grows pretty slowly, so I'm thinking she may end up with a pretty silky coat! I trimmed some of her cottony puppy coat off, and it is definitely getting easier and easier to brush! I'm excited to see her at 1 year too, but I also don't want her to be all grown up yet! She's scheduled for pre-op labs and then her spay on Jan. 4th. I finally found a vet I REALLY like (almost as much as our old vet in OK, whom I LOVED ). He's going to let me bring her home the evening of her spay instead of having to leave her overnight...I just can't bare the thought of her being in a cage all alone overnight!! (Bella came home the same day too, so I know just what to do for Maya!) OH! And her little belly button has faded so much it's super hard to find! She is just the sweetest, cuddly baby! I love her so much! I taught her to wave the other night....it's cute to see them both waving anyway, but I'll have to take a video because she over-exaggerates it so much it's adorable!! Sorry I'm so long-winded!

Thank you! I'm glad you love my girls too!!! Trust me, they cannot get enough love to satisfy them! We moved here at the beginning of July, so I'm very excited to see the fam! Bella went with us to Anchorage last xmas, but this will be Maya's 1st time on a plane....and she doesn't particularly like riding in the car (although taking Rescue Remedy Pet before we go does seem to help a bit), so I'm a little worried about how she'll do on the plane.

Thanks! No, our old vet was in OKC! He IS AMAZING!!!! (Britton Road Veterinary Clinic...we saw Dr. Jeff Henderson (he may be the primary owner??) but when he was off we also saw Dr. Mauldin and Dr. Riffell, who are both pretty amazing as well! And the staff is completely fantastic too! Sorry that doesn't help you in Tulsa though. BUT, I will say when I moved from OKC to Stillwater, I tried several vets there and was HORRIBLY disappointed (and the vet school is IN Stillwater...wth?!)....so we ended up driving 1 hr each way to continue to see Dr. Henderson. In fact, the only sadness I had about moving to WI was because I'd have to try to find a new vet again! I tried 3 different ones here, and the 3rd one stuck! I'm glad we found him because I was beginning to have Dr. Henderson blues for sure! Anyway, you COULD drive 1 hr to OKC like I did if you don't find one there you like Just so you know, during office hours, Dr. Henderson will talk to you on the phone about whatever...even if it's not about your pet (and so will the other docs). If he's not busy, he will come right to the phone, and if he is busy he'll call you back within a couple of hours. When we 1st moved here in fact, I called him....he called me back 2 hrs later and apologized for it taking so long to get back with me!! (he had been out of the office, taking his mother to a dr's appt!) Awesome, right??!!!
