Maya's very 1st SNOW!!!

We had a few little flurries earlier this week, but this morning was our 1st accumulation of the season....and Maya's very 1st snow EVER!! She wasn't sure what to do at 1st, but once she saw her sissy (Bella) running around looking for a good spot to potty, she followed suit

Pics #3 and #4: The girls are flying with us back home for xmas, so I have Maya's carrier out so she can get used to being in it....as you can see, it's a GREAT place for a snooze!! She chooses to nap in there at least once a day...a good sign I hope!

How adorable! Looks like she doesn't mind the snow one bit! It's a good sign that she likes her carrier already. I would go on a couple practice runs to see how they do in it together. My two ride in the KB Alex together several times a week and love going places.

Oh my gosh! My Bambi had her first snow today too! We're in the same area!!! Yours looked like they were having fun. Bambi was not too pleased.

Your girls are beautiful!!!! Good Luck flying with them. I flew with my boys twice from NH to NM to visit family. It went pretty good! I gave them 2 mls of children's benedryl to help them stay calm during the flight and the airport, it really helped. I just put some in an empty nip bottle so it was small enough to take with me on the plane just in case I needed to give more during the layover. I just with more airports had 'doggy areas' for them to get out and stretch their legs and pee. 8 hours of flying in a small crate is a LONG day for them.

Thanks! What's funny is she DOES mind the cold! She shivers like crazy, which is why she's dressed in jammies AND a thick hoodie AND booties! But the snow did distract her for a bit and she didn't seem to mind while I was taking pics/videoing!

I have a KB Alex too, but there's no way they could both fit comfortably....it's the small one though, so maybe that's the difference?? I need to go get some rescue remedy pets before I take her on a practice run in her carrier...she already drools and trembles in the car (Bella has never done that, so it's a challenge!) Hopefully the rescue remedy will calm her down enough that she won't tremble and drool, and then the practice run will be even MORE uneventful!! fingers crossed!

Thank you! I wouldn't even CONSIDER boarding them....my rule is, if they can't go, then mommy stays home! I will for sure take/post pics! I'll be really surprised if we have snow in OK, but we'll have pics at the airport and on the plane

Where you live isn't far from us AT ALL!!! We need to get the girls together to play! Indoors, or we can wait until it gets warmer....that may be a loooonnng wait, though! Maya wasn't very pleased either, until she saw Bella didn't mind and then she followed suit! lol

Thanks! I took Bella with us last xmas from OK to Anchorage, AK, and it went just fine. Of course, she's my emotional support dog (I have a lot of anxiety that just gets unreal when I'm flying), so she stayed in my lap for the flights. I brought benedryl with me that time, but I didn't need to use it. And I'm getting rescue remedy pets for Maya since she will have to ride in her carrier. Plus, she gets a little car sick, and that supposed to help with that too (no vomiting, just drool and trembling)...I talked to her vet about it . We're going to test the rescue remedy pets out on a few car rides before we go on the plane. She's such a good little girl, I really think her riding in her carrier will go off without a hitch!

P.S. We put Bella on her harness and leash and walked her around the airport with no problems whatsoever!! (Not in terribly crowded areas though...didn't want her to get stepped on!) Maya will only be in her carrier when we're boarding the plane and for the flight, but as soon as we land, out she'll come!!!

Oh look how adorable they are! Tara, you are just swimming in cuteness, aren't ya? Maya did well in her first snow! Loved all the other pictures as well. My babies love to sleep on us, too... whichever way they can fit! lol Your babies love you so much and you are such a wonderful Mommy (and Patrick is a good Daddy!)
