| my new girl. July 2010 we were given an almost 1 yr old Yorkie girl. A coworker of my husband had her and could not handle her bubbly personality, chewing, and housebreaking failures. I took in Bella (she was called daisy but we did not like that) She took to the name Bella right away. She was barely 4 lbs and fully of sugar and spice. We have a 5 yr old weiner dog Emma who was also a case of owner not wanting them. Emma was a bit mistreated as well. Bless her heart she is a sweetheart now. She wanted to eat this lil bug of a dog for 2 days. Now they are adjusting to each other. Bella is doing really good on housebreaking. She does on occ. poop in the house,, Normally happens if she is running and jumping. She does not let us know she needs to go. Emma barks and sits at the door. Anyway we have had a few serious fights mostly over food. A little blood was shed but all is good now. Anyway I look forward to learning all there is to know about these spunkie lil bundles of energy. They melt your heart..... Peppermint mom to Emma the weiner 5yr and Bella the wild child yorkie 1yr. |

| Congratulations on your new Yorkie girl Bellla! She is adorable. Sounds like her and Emma get along just fine now, that is good. I noticed in your picture of Bella, she is wearing a collar with a leash. Yorkies are known to have sensitive tracheas, and harnesses work much better and safer for their little necks when you are walking them Welcome to YT

| Thanks everyone. Bella has wiggled, jumped, licked and barked even poo'd her way into our hearts. I am so glad that the family wanted to get rid of her. They said she chewed up everything. We have not had a problem with it. We keep her entertained and give her tons of attention. hahaha I don't see how you can't give one of these lil cuties attention. Anyway Thanks for the warm welcome. Oh and a note( we are using a tiny choke collar for training purposes.. She had no training and we are hoping to start her in agility and obed. training. My weiner has spine issues hahah just like me. I just had most all of my cervical spine fused 3 weeks ago. So I need a lil help with control and training. Bella ran out the door the first week I was home. Scared me and caused me to hurt myself trying to run after her. So i am trying to get some gentle control so she does not end up getting eaten by the neighborhood bad dogs. |

Donating YT 30K Club Member | They are both so cute. They look so cute together. I am so glad they both ended up with your family. As far as the collar, I would really try a harness, even short periods of pressure on their delicate tracheas can cause damage. I lost one at 6 1/2 to a collapsed trachea.
