Darcy is so darling and hope she enjoyed the game with Dad.

I need to look up prehensile, too. Keep learning new things tonight.

Tami, I made the bow Darcy is wearing, and I have a few more styles, also. I ordered the fleur-de-lis from a lady in South Louisiana who had them specially made, and they are much nicer than the picture. They were also quite pricey, which is why this bow is a little higher.

Here is the link to them:Results for Louisiana Pride

I also have a blue & a 7/8 size that should be up tomorrow

If you sew... check out WalMart kids and babies clothing sections... esp end of season you can get NFL Logo items cheap! I picked up 4 Ravens cheerleaders outfits last year at $5 each, and altered them to fit my 4 furbutts.

Hint: cut the skirt on each side seam, and cut across the back waist to remove it. (The logo is on the front for kids, but put it on backwards for a dog. You want to leave the skirt on on the side that has the logo on the bodice.) Cut a bit off the top to make the hems offset : will look like a ruffle. Run a basting stitch across the top, squish it like a curtain on a curtain rod to distribute the fullness till you get it to match the size of the remaining skirt, and sew it on at the waist on top of the remaing skirt. Add bows or sparkly things to your heart's content! Voila! Finish off any cut sides with a small hem to prevent unraveling. I did one by hand in a couple of hours.

Thank you so much! I am going to keep this post in mind, I don't own a sewing machine, but I can hand sew!

Well, it is game day again. Darcy and I went to town this morning to pick up some Wellness cookies, to Michael's to use my 40% off coupons, and to get some chicken.

Darcy ate up all the attention she got, everyone petted her and made over her, and loved her "Game Day" bow. One lady offered to buy the bow from me, but I told her that her Daddy is real superstitious, she has to put her bow on first thing in the morning, and wear it until the game is over

She was the perfect little lady, until we stopped to pick up Southern Classic Chicken for lunch! I'll let the pictures tell the story:

1. I love to go bye bye with Mommy!
2. I can always be lady like, even when we pick up yummy chicken for Daddy!
3. Maybe just one sniff (pawing at the bag)
4. This chicken smells so good I can just taste it!

Ha ha! Too cute! But she looks like she really needs help resisting in the second pic! Hehe! She needs a long tongue if she rides in the front seat with the chicken, I'm drooling now too!

Tip on the dresses: Sometimes that material likes to curl under on it's own... I press the hems and pin them to keep them staying put till I stitch them! If you have a long dog you can add enough mateiral under the attached skirt and then just attach the second half to the added piece to make it as long as you need to reach the tail.

To give you an idea of the size: That's Finny in the photos and she's 12 inches long from the base of her neck to the base of her tail. She is deep chested, 19 inches behind her front legs, the dress just hangs a tiny bit there: I may add a piece of elastic or attach a ribbon to tie a bow around it there. If it's way too loose you can gather it and add elastic and a bow or make a few darts to reduce the fullness. Also her dress was an infants 3-6 months. They came with a long sleeve white turtleneck onesy with the Ravens' logo on the neck embroidered... I haven't decided what to do with that yet... but I do have some ideas! They will be too hot with all that on though! Especially bc I keep their hair long... but for a short coat it may be enough when it gets cold outside!

Let me know if you can come up with a Raven's hair thingy! or 4 actually!

Oh my gosh, thank you for sharing these pictures. I now know what my dear Lacey bug will look like cut down and we're going tomorrow for a hair cut. I have to cut her long hair because her nails are getting caught in it
But now after seeing your baby I can again. So Cute! Also, I bookmarked your bow site and will be ordering. I'm from louisiana and well...WHO DAT?!

Thank You! This is her normal look. Like I was saying earlier in this post, I do not think she is "purebred", when her hair grows out it has a bunch of curl in it, it poufs out, imagine a Yorkie with an afro! When we pick her up, we get covered in hair, so it had to go. She always goes to the groomer one time by herself in between the times when all 3 get groomed, she grows super fast!

I leave her face and tail full, I think she looks like a little lion!

Thanks for looking at my bows, did not know if you noticed but everything is 33% off until the end of the month, just enter 33% at check out.
