| Emma and her babies Emma had her litter of 5 pups today. Labor began yesterday and the first one arrive just after midnight and the last one at 10:30 this morning. I had her XRayed at the Vet on Monday so we would know how many to watch for. I was able to get the photo of the 5 pups alone while she had some boiled Chicken just outside the box. George |

| Thanks everyone! 4 of the pups weighed in at 130-140 grams and one was 64 grams. That small one we are feeding with an eye dropper until it gains some strength to feed off the mother. I used the Liver Remedy to start him/her on with a little goats milk in between. I have the after birth [B]Pudding Recipe in the refrigerator cooling down so I can give it to mom. So far everything seems to be OK and we are keeping our eye on the little one making sure it stays warm snuggled in between his brothers and sisters. Mom we have been giving a towel bath getting her cleaned up a little bit until we can give her a full bath again. I figure she needs a week to recover before we can do that. | Hi GeorgeG, First of all, welcome to Yorkie Talk. I was wondering how many girls and how many boys Emma had. Thanks!

| Hi everyone I had to get a little sleep in since I was up for 24 hours after coming home from work Friday night to pups being born. Thanks to my wife who was home all day with them. Anyway concerning the weight you have almost 30 grams to an ounce and I find it easier to get a very accurate reading when using a gram scale. That is why I used it to weigh the pups. The litter consist of 3 boys and 2 girls and all seem to be doing good including Emma. Emma weighed 8 lbs before becoming pregnant and went up to 12 lbs when she was at the Vet on Monday |
