I know what you mean, it was tough to cut Maggie's coat as it was halfway down. I really like this cut however. I am so torn as to what to do. I only trimmed her the last time I gave her a bath. I did cut Hot Rod down...I think I'm going to keep him short. He's got a think scraggly coat when it gets longer.
