Since none of these puppies is 100% white ( they all have some gold markings) AKC will probably call them a Tan Parti Color which is what all golden parti's are registered as.

Please note that the registry of the American Kennel Club is based on parentage and not the coat color of a member of any breed. However, coat color can sometime alert us to an error in the breeding of a particular litter.

The American Kennel Club’s policy is to review any litter that contains a member that possess a non-standard coat color for it’s breed.

Yes, I'm aware of AKC policy in regards to registering certain colors as I own a parti and had to send in the required pictures (I actually mailed in 4 instead of just 2). But I was wondering how you personally register these puppies....what color classification do you chose....because they would not qualify as parti.

I was just curious because I have never seen an all white.

If it was up to me I would call them Gold and white or white with gold markings, but AKC will probably call them tan parti color. I would also call the Golden Parti's , Gold parti color but AKC calls them Tan Parti Color. Brown or Chocolate is called Liver by the AKC. When I send the paperwork in with my parti's I leave the color blank. I always include 3 or 4 pictures and mail the registration to att: color specialist. The two we had last year were not totally white either. Bandit is registered as a black and Tan Parti- color and Mouse is registered as Blue and Gold Parti color.

The boy from Socks has a gold slash on each side of his head and one ear with gold on it.

The girl from Socks has gold around both eyes.

The boy from Star has gold around both eyes and a gold slash on one ear.

If you sit down around here, you are usually on the bottom of the puppy pile. I think Yuki wins the cute contest, although anyone who sees Casper will fall in love with his personality.
