Living My Yorkie Dream Donating Member | Oscar in His New Home! Oscar has been with his forever family for one week today, and though we miss his playful antics & sweet face so much, it does my heart good knowing that he is with a family that is giving him all the love & care he deserves and that I was able to bring such joy into their lives by sharing my yorkie dream through Oscar. That is after all, one of the reasons I decided to breed. Oscar's adoption came up quite fast and being a long distance one at that (Colorado), I will admit that it made me a little nervous. I did not know the person who called at all, but it helped when I discovered that he was a relative of a YT member. He was buying Oscar for his mother who had fallen in love with the breed & had been wanting one after meeting her niece's yorkie. After speaking a few times on the phone with both him and the YT member, I felt better assured that their home would be a good one for my sweet Oscar. He (Alex) made the long drive to pick Oscar up last Friday with a couple of his friends to share the driving, and when they got here I found them all to be very nice, polite young men; all obviously enjoying meeting all of my fur kids, and all seeming to fall in love with Oscar at first site! My husband and I chatted with them for an hour or so, dealt with the paperwork part of our meeting, and then it was time to say good bye.Yes, there were tears on my part as I handed him to Alex & they walked out the door; letting these sweet puppies go is always so bittersweet. The first chance he got after returning home and settling in, Alex sent word that Oscar handled the long drive "home" well and was settling into his new home with ease. His new mommy is very happy with her new baby & instantly cannot imagine life without him.(we all know how that is, don't we? "D) Oscar met his new "cousin" in his first weekend home and it seems that they will be life-long friends. I have chatted with Alex a few times via email this past week and he assures me that he will send pictures of Oscar from time to time as he grows & said that I can share them with all of my friends on YT. ..........and would you lookee here............................PICTURES! ~ Does she look like a happy new mom, or what! ~ Checking each other out from a distance (Oscar by the door) ~ .......getting closer.............. ~ ahhhhhhhhhhh, instant new friends!!!!

| That is a wonderful story with a happy ending--just what we need this time of year! It must be so hard to let them go. You made sure he found a very good home and a new cousin, even! He's off to a great start! I just love the pictures of the 2 pups meeting! Will she be keeping his name Oscar? Thanks for sharing!

| Oh Rose, I feel for you. I already miss Oscar and I was only dreaming of him. **sniff, sniff**, you had him there. Oscar looks like he's going to be a very spoiled little one. BTW, I would have kept his name Oscar too, it was just seems to be the perfect name. Hugs.

Living My Yorkie Dream Donating Member | Thank you so much for posting the pictures you told me about earlier! Honestly Tatiana, you and Alex are making me so comfortable in the choice I made for Oscar's forever home,in your kindness & understanding of how important it is for a breeder (well, me at least) to receive updates & pictures of pups after they leave. I am so glad Oscar has so many that love him already as well as Armani as his new best friend.
