Donating YT 1000 Club Member | Meet My Little Girl Rescue/Foster Peanut Wanted you all to meet Little Peanut. She is our recent unexpected addition to our family. My sister runs a shelter in Indiana and I got a call from her wanting to know if I would help out and rescue this little girl yorkie they just got in at the shelter. They found her roaming the streets in deplorable condition and possibly pregnant. After she sent the pictures my heart melted and I accepted the challenge. I said I would foster her and get her though whatever was needed to get her healthy, adjusted and on to a new forever home. She was found infested with fleas and nails that were curled under. All the hair on the lower half of her body was missing and as mentioned possibly pregnant. Xrays confirmed she was NOT pregnant. Great news. While waiting the mandatory time required to see if her owner would claim her, no one came forward. My sis said she would not have been returned to her owner even if they had tried to claim her. The caretakers at the shelter fell in love with this little 4# girl. I am sure Peanut felt like she was staying at the Ritz Carlton compared to where she came from. Before I was able to get down to pick her up I had her spayed, 4 canines removed, all her shots and microchipped. Poor little girl was through alot. I picked her up on November 13th. I was nervous about bringing her into my home where I already have Jack and Jilly. Jilly is an alpha dog and a previous attempt to add a third member didn't work out. My apprehension was soon proven wrong. Jack and Jilly have graciously accepted her presence though at times are jealous and would prefer she was not here. It's been a month now and we are making progress with her. She was not housebroken nor trained in any way. Her hair is starting to grow back. She is not the nervous little one afraid of everything and not wanting to go outside. It blows my mind that anyone would abuse this precious little girl as they did. She is such a little lover. Her idea of a good day would be to spend it entirely in your lap with plenty of Yorkie kisses. My goal is still to find the perfect forever home at some point but until then she is safe and blossiming into a precious little girl.

YT 500 Club Member | What a precious little girl. How wonderful that she can have a safe and loving place to stay while she waits for a forever home. I wonder if she has already found it.

| Oh thank goodness you were available for this little sweetheart. The soul-less cruelty that some people visit on animals still stuns me to the core. Yorkie hugs to all of you.
