Donating YT 500 Club Member | Taffy and Toys Extremely difficult to get Miss Priss to slow down enough for photos. Here are a few that turned out better than a blur! |

Donating YT 500 Club Member | These are a few really good close-ups I managed to get. The last one is my favorite and to paraphrase the oft quoted saying about being as good as your dog thinks you are...Taffy is looking up at me. Ahhhhh...be still my heart! |

We are lucky. She is such a laid back, fun-loving puppy although she does have her diva moments. She has really changed our lives. I do wish I could truly capture her beauty in a photograph though. I have tons of blurs and such. Thankfully, digital photography was developed before we got her or we'd be living in poverty...LOL

| Your little Taffy is darling and love her name, too. The 3rd picture of Taffy, with a head tilt, is priceless.

Thank you. I like the tongue pictures, too, and always get tickled when I manage to get one. When I got the one that is in her profile, I had no idea it would be such a rare photo! (Somehow though I can manage to get those wide-mouth yawns...guess my photography skills bore her...LOL)

Donating YT 500 Club Member | You guys are so sweet. Forgive me, please, for not cutting and pasting and responding to each of you but she's worn me out today...LOL She is so happy to be with us again. (She's been back at the breeder's while we took a planned trip for those of you who don't know.) She's never been one to whimper except when she was looking for a place to stash her loot (mini carrots mainly) but for the first few days home, she did whimper whenever my husband or I left the room for anything. I guess she wanted to be sure we weren't going somewhere without her. She loved her being with her breeder mom and canine parents and sibling plus a very special little playmate who was a rescue dog at "Miss" Georgia's. It may be that she misses her playmates or just that she missed our attention but boy does she want us to play and play and play now...LOL Of course, since we feel slightly guilty from being away from her, we play until we are tired ourselves! It worked out so well though because she's spayed and recovered from the stay at her breeder's. Plus, if we had followed the original plan, we wouldn't have her...our precious Taffy. We had first planned to get our puppy from the litter that is soon to arrive..."after" our trip. I am sooooo glad we didn't wait! Not only would I have missed having this special puppy, I would have missed out on meeting and enjoying friendships with so many on this board. Someone mentioned her coloring. I know this sounds crazy and granted my eyesight is "old" but it almost seems as though she changes colors overnight! Her puppy cut makes her look so young again to me but with silver hair this time. I just can't describe her well enough! Even her breeder is impressed with her easy-going, quickly adapting, laid-back personality. She is all that and more but with enough mischief (maybe a bit more than "enough" at times...LOL) to keep her interesting. We are certainly never bored with her! One other comment about the photos. She really doesn't like me taking pictures at all so I take a couple of hundred and come out with less than a dozen decent shots. I'm hoping that puppy classes and teaching her to "stay" might improve her ability to at least give me a chance at some good photos. Anyone have experience with before/after picture taking after a puppy has gone to a few training classes? (We don't want to stifle her personality at all...we'd just like to sometimes handle the energy.) Last edited by TOY; 10-09-2009 at 07:50 PM. |
