such a sweet pic. We used to have great danes, theyre wonderful dogs. Their temperment is so gentle and loving. Only bad thing is their life expectancy is not long.

Wow -- that is amazing, really shows the drastic variation in dog sizes. Both are absolutely beautiful -- or I should say all three of you are!

When I was very little we l lived by a family that had a great dane. It was also very gentle. I don't think they realize their size.

Aw, Missy is as cute as ever. She has a friend..that's cute. She is smart to pick big friends. No one will mess with her with that bodyguard

Jackson is a beautiful Great Dane.
It's amazing the size differences in the two breeds.

Personality also is so very different. The gentle giant is calm, cool
and collective while the tiny little Yorkie is bossy, persistent
and demanding.

I wonder what Missy is thinking looking up at her friend?

Thats so cute. I remember taking my first girl to a local show years ago, there was a huge dane there who just stood & looked down at her, Myshkha stood on her back legs to give him a kiss, she was 4months. They had quite a crowd. She got temperarilly 'adopted' by a toy poodle exhibiter who let her stand on his grooming table while crowds told her how cute she was. Nowonder she had such an ego.
This weekend my two met a lovely Rottie who decided to lie down by them so they didnt think he was a big dog. Apparently he always does this with little dogs.

What a cute picture. When I was walking Piper at the beach last week I saw a Great Dane and owner approaching. Usually when I see big dogs coming towards us I give them a lot of passing room. Piper is overly friendly and loves all dogs but some don't like her and the big ones seem to want to eat her for dinner. As the Great Dane got closer I could tell that he was very interested in Piper but didn't seem aggressive at all. When they were actually next to us the owner asked if her Dane could say Hi to Piper because he absolutely adored small dogs. She said he was a gentle giant. That male Dane was the sweetest dog you could ever want to meet and he was so gentle with Piper. She had no fear of him and really enjoyed meeting him. I asked the owner the dogs weight and age. He weighed 130lbs and I was totally surprise when she told me that he was 13 years old. He was just beautiful and majestic.

I know. One time I was walking Sushi and Mr. Big. we came across this sweet giant great dane. My dogs of course ran over to him to say hi (they are super sociable, and VERY brave

). The Dane's mom picked them up and said to them: omg, the poop bags I carry around weigh more than both of you put together!!!!

At first she thought she might have offended me, but then I assured her that I thought it was actually hilarious!
