What a cute picture. When I was walking Piper at the beach last week I saw a Great Dane and owner approaching. Usually when I see big dogs coming towards us I give them a lot of passing room. Piper is overly friendly and loves all dogs but some don't like her and the big ones seem to want to eat her for dinner. As the Great Dane got closer I could tell that he was very interested in Piper but didn't seem aggressive at all. When they were actually next to us the owner asked if her Dane could say Hi to Piper because he absolutely adored small dogs. She said he was a gentle giant. That male Dane was the sweetest dog you could ever want to meet and he was so gentle with Piper. She had no fear of him and really enjoyed meeting him. I asked the owner the dogs weight and age. He weighed 130lbs and I was totally surprise when she told me that he was 13 years old. He was just beautiful and majestic.
