| 9 weeks and won't wean Hi, I have this 9 week old pup that will not wean. I started them at 7 weeks and had them off by 8 weeks. 2 of them did great. The other male refused to eat anything but chicken babyfood the first 2 days. from there it went downhill. Found him crashed sat morn. Gave him nutri-cal and force fed him along with karo water and still won't eat. So my last hope was Mommy. Thankfully she still had milk. So from going to laying around to being hyper from seeing mom, well that did the trick. Now he is all happy and still nursing, but doing better. Soooo how long is too long to not wean a pup?????? This one is a real baby. |

Living My Yorkie Dream Donating Member | Hmmmm, this is one topic I haven't come across yet in all the reading I have done. You may want to try posting this in the breeders' section to get more experienced people seeing and replying to this. I will keep an eye on this one to see the answers. Hope the little guy gets better and improves on the weaning process soon. How much does he weigh.....out of curiosity?
