Thank you, you just brightened my night and my tomorrow. I am actually feeling like a bad mommy. I want to share her beauty with others by breeding her (that is part of my buying agreement, actually how I was able to get her without paying 3000 usd). But now I want to fix her and keep her as a pet. No offense to big yorkie owners (as I own a "bigger" one and I ADORE HIM) but I just don't want her to have a few litters, be fixed and get all fat and change personality. Any comments, nay sayers and ideas welcomed. I want feedback good and bad (I will also be posting this in a new thread in the general area) you may want to comment there instead

| I would say get her fixed. It is what is best for her in the long run... I couldn't imagine breeding my baby. I would want to protect my baby with my life...

that is what I'm starting to think. I am planning on calling her breeder and seeing if the pet option is still on the table. If so then I'm 90% sure I'm going to fix her. She is just too much of a precious gem to risk losing her.

Your little princess is beautiful. I would have her fixed as well. Leave the breeding up to the professionals. I wouldn't want to take any chances on something going wrong either. Good luck with both of your little ones.

I'm actually doing my research right now. I feel like if I do it responsibly and do all the blood work and make sure all the blood work and history is found/known/done on the male as well I am doing good. I'm calling around to find out how much a c-section costs, how much blood work costs, emergency clinics, spaying, neutering (for Versace), asking loads of questions, and more. I know it is good to leave it up to the pros but this was part of my contract. So technically I'm dealing with a pro and plan on finding a mentor somewhere here in florida. But yes I am still keeping spaying as an option. I'm trying to see if someone does a half spay (as in they only take the uterus and leave the ovaries. It will be less tramatic on her system. I really want the best for her if you couldnt tell LOL). I'm a nursing student so I know a little about hysterectomies in humans, so I'd be willing to pay extra to allow her to keep her hormones.
