| Yodi's Adventure Photos - YorkieTalk's Traveling Yorkie Yodi is going on a trip to meet as many YTers as possible. So far there are 30+ members who Yodi will be visiting, which will be about 8 months of traveling across the USA, Canada and the UK!! I know Yodi is going to have a lot of fun on her adventure and so are the YTers she visits. You can follow Yodi on her Twitter and on her live Google Map! Members are free to post and comment on either Yodi's Twitter or on her Google Map. In fact, she likes comments! Hehehe. You can also follow Yodi right here on YorkieTalk of course. This thread will be for all the posts and photos of her visits put together collectively to tell her story. This is so that members can find the photos easily and to prevent the discussion thread getting confusing and members missing out on seeing photos. The thread for anything Yodi, (Yodi chat, Yodi visits, Yodi photos, Yodi questions and maybe the odd hint of her next destination) can be found here. Yodi will be traveling hopefully for a long time. Members can invite Yodi into their homes by PMing me. A new place for Yodi to visit will be chosen at random after each member Yodi visits. Even when Yodi is traveling, feel free to PM me and I can add you to the list of places for Yodi to visit. Please note, this is only open to full YorkieTalk Donating Members, (a member who has donated a minimum of $25). I have run this through Admin to make sure it's okay for us to do this and they said that it was fine, so thank you to Admin, and also thank you for being more than helpful with this. ~~~ Yodi's adventure starts right here in Nottinghamshire, England. We took a trip at the weekend to visit the castle, walk round the museum and the Robin Hood statue. Nottingham Castle - taken from the castle grounds, Amelia had Yodi at this point and when I tried to take her she cried... so to save embrassment of a screaming child I let her keep hold of her. Views from the Castle - in the first photo you can see the first industrial part of Nottingham including the British Waterworks building which was built in 1696! Some of the surrounding buildings aren't as old as you can see from the picure. The second photo shows the windmill in the distance, (sort of central in the photo) and also part of one of the many churches. The area in the forground is the main ring road around the city centre and the building nearest is a carpark. At the foot of this is a canal which would of been the original moat for the castle. I would of leaned over and taken a photo of the canal and the grounds below... but I'm scared of heights and that was just about as much as I could handle! The third photo is a more modern development. The white tent like building is the Inland Revenue building. The buildings around it are offices. The funny round white things actually rise at a certain temperature to allow air into the buildings when they get hot. In the far distance you can see Beacon Hill which is the square looking area of trees and the hill next to that is a nature reserve. Both of those areas are part of what would of been Sherwood Forest before developement took over. There is very little of Sherwood Forest left near the city now but thankfully lots around the area I live.

| The next two photos are of Yodi on the Castle wall, (yes Amelia let me have her back for a while), in the distance of one you can see the modern look of Nottingham which would of been farm land and at one point Nottingham village. The other photo shows the grounds. In both photos you can see the wall which would of held the drawbridge over the moat. Then we went to see the Robin Hood statue and Yodi sat and had her photo taken... much to the bemusement of an American couple who had just been taking each others photos infront of it with their baby. | Finally the photos of Yodi ready to go on her adventure. She's packed a few things as a gift to her next host and also a notebook which she will be taking with her to all the members she vists so they can write in it. In the notebook I've included a couple of postcards from Nottingham and Sherwood Forest and wrote a little message... I would take photos, but the notebook is just for the members she visits. Now she's ready to go meet some more YTers.... but where will she go!!!! She will be leaving tomorrow morning!

| Sorry for the Delay Hello Everyone! I am very sorry for the delay of Yodi. I had a family emergency and had to drive to Michigan on Thursday and did not get back in until last night. We drove straight through about 14 hours, not fun, but it had to be done. Since I was out all weekend, I did not get to do the things that I had planned to do with Yodi. I only have a few pics, but some is better than none. I wish I had more time, but I know everyone is anxious to see where she is going next! I apoligize for my tardiness, but she should get to her destination by the end of the week I once again would like to thank Gypsy&Me for putting this together, and I know that it will be a fun experience for everybody 1. I first took Yodi out of the package 2. Yodi and Ben 3. Yodi and the gift that Gypsy&Me sent. Its a little Robin Hood Bear, so cute! Ben was more interesting in that the he was in Yodi 4. This is Yodi at the Mid-Hudson Bridge. Its very pretty at night, its lights up in all different colors and the colors change as you go over it, its really neat. Whoops, I switched up picture 3 and 4!

Living My Yorkie Dream Donating Member | ...a couple more little stops along the way......... Well who would ever think that a trip to a furniture store would be a vacation spot???? Only in Nebraska! Yep, our 3rd stop was at my workplace actually...Nebraska Furniture Mart, also known for being "America's Largest Home Furnishings Store". People do come from all over to shop here, so much so that they built another NFM store in Kansas City about 4-5 years ago and also have a small store in Des Moines, Iowa. The business was built by a little Jewish lady well known here as Mrs. "B". She died in 1998 at the age of 104! Read about NFM's history here:Nebraska Furniture Mart ? History Attachment 278080 Yodi & Emily outside NFM's main store. There are 3 buildings on the campus, Main Store; home furnishings & carpet, Mega Mart building; electronics and appliances, and a third building called Mrs B's Clearance Center. Our last stop was just at one of the big "O's" found around town. The phrase is used in slogans in advertising Omaha.......if you're ever in the "Big O", be sure to stop by and visit us......just like Yodi did! Attachment 278081 And that ends our visit with Yodi! We LOVED having her here and are anxious to see and hear about all of her adventures to come. Where is she going next.............stay tuned to find out!

| The 2010 Olympic Oval Before getting to the next destination, Yodi was almost blown away by the wind! She's a super lightweight. What a tiny little girl she is! Without further ado, Yodi gets to visit the Richmond Olympic Oval where the ice events of the 2010 Olympics will be taking place! The outside surrounding area is still under construction. Again, details of Yodi's first hand experience of the excitement can be found on her twitter page. |

| The First Impression I don't know how to say this. I would like to start with an apology for my little girl. She is always letting her excitement get to her. She's been anticipating the arrival of a new furry friend for what feels like a LONG time for her. She's been an avid follower of Yodi's travels from the beginning. Finally, the promised sleepover, however brief, has become reality. I can't really blame her. But I feel bad as a parent for her poor manners... It's all my fault. I hope Yodi can accept the boatload of affection Pichu's pouring onto her. |

| More excited than you know... You had to be there to see the craziness. Pichu was CRAZY and until Yodi went to bed, she was still just as obsessed with Yodi as ever. I think Yodi must have the sweetest doggy scent ever--or she's smelling luckylady's yummy party feast. What you do not see is the literal flying, hopping, bouncing eagerness to reach Yodi when one of us so much as handles Yodi to take her out the door in preparation for the day's outting! And did I mention Pichu was being VERY vocal about it?! That is too weird and amusing at the same time! I had my jaw dropped most of the day today! It does not end here... It's simply amazing at how crazy in love Pichu is with Yodi. However, I am not so sure the feeling is mutual. |

| Vancouver Convention Centre 2009 The Vancouver Convention Center finished building not long ago just this year! It's just one of my favourite spots to relax and enjoy the clean air and gentle breeze as you face the harbor. For now, it's still a really enjoyable, peaceful, clean and beautiful place. The Pichu sniff test... She's just being weird again... Attachment 279340Attachment 279341 |

| *shock* Here I was thinking, "Awww, how cute! Pichu even gave Yodi's tushy a good whiff but, darnit, I missed getting a shot of it!" "Okay... NOW you're making me nervous...." Attachment 279344 NO, those legs are NOT mine nor do they belong to anyone I know! Honestly, I did not see this coming... |
