| New Hey everyone, I just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Jess and I have an *almost* 3 year old yorkie named Roxie. She is absolutely my best friend and I love her more than anything in the world. Roxie is incredibly smart, she was house-trained within the first two weeks after I got her and only has accidents when she is angry at me (for instance if I gate her in a room while we have company.) She actually can't be gated anymore at all because at 3 months she began to jump the baby gates (which are almost 3 feet high!) We thought maybe she was scaling them and bought a plexiglass gate that had no holes; she was over it minutes later. Roxie also knows the names of all the neighbors and the dogs in the neighborhood. I can say "Roxie, want to go see so-and-so" and open the door, she'll run straight to whoever's house. She also makes up her mind to go visit; usually I can let her out without a leash and she'll just sniff around the yard, but occasionally she'll run to a neighbors and scratch on the door until they answer. I've met a lot of people who never let their yorkies outside, but Roxie would go crazy if I kept her cooped up. She loves running and playing outside, she thinks she's a big dog. Her best friends are a yellow lab, chocolate lab, and schnauzer. Roxie cocks her head when you ask her if she wants to cuddle; it's precious. Sorry for how long this is, I'm just really excited to find a place where I can talk about her - my friends have had enough of me constantly talking about her cuteness! So Hi! |
