New members...Baby and me! Hello everyone! Well I am new here, but this seems like a really neat site with a lot of wonderful advice! My name is Mindy, and my precious Yorkie's name is Baby. She is almost 10 months old and is the love of my life. She makes me so incredibly happy! We had a really good day today because Baby learned to "Roll over"! It amazes me how quickly she is able to learn new things! But we are trying to figure out what else to teach her..any ideas? She knows sit, lay down, roll over, and we are working on sit pretty but she doesn't have the best balance. She's silly! But I wanted to attach some pictures of her, but i can't find my favorite one, so this is one when she was about 4 months and then at 5 months and again at about 7 months. She looks like she's all ears in the later one, but she doesn't look like that so much when she has a bow in now. But thanks for reading this and let me know what you think of my little Baby! Bye- Mindy and Baby

Welcome Mindy and Baby! What a cutie your little one is! And so smart! Bo is 4 months old and we seem to have training "issues". Of course I have to take responsibility for the majority of them. Enjoy the forum.

A very warm WELCOME!! (To both you and Baby that is!). I think the pics of Baby are adorable!! Especially interesting to me 'cos I have a 7 month old too - Gizzie Chavi was born on the 16 July and I wondered when Baby was born? What strikes me, as with every other yorkie of the same age is how very much lighter in colour your Baby is than Gizzie! Everyone presume that Gizzie is a lot younger than she is as she is still mostly black!! I wish I could post pics here but I can't! I think her head is starting to change clour a bit now! I also have a 19 month old Gypsy Rose who has ears like Baby!! Do tell us more about her - what does she weigh etc? Hope you like it here and that we'll see a lot more of you, love and greetings from Wales, UK, Ana and girls!! xxxx

| Welcome to you and Baby! I have an almost one year old (b-day on Valentine's Day) named Tatum. Baby sure is precious! The best advice I can give is to teach the sit, stay and come commands as soon as possible. The "stay" command I believe saved Tatum's life one day a few months ago. That part of the training is very important. If she's caught on that quickly to the tricks, she'll do great with those.

More info Well Thanks to everyone for all of the wonderfully nice comments and the good advice. You asked for me to tell a little more about Baby and so here is some of her information. Birthday: April 17.. She weighs a great big 5lbs! Her coloring is kind of light, but I love it! SHe has a beautiful mix of colors..she is gray on her back and then, as you can see, that blonde on her head...but she also has a pretty black streak that shows when her hair is in a bow..I just think that she is lovely. Also, Baby has some interesting habits that I adore. The first is how nosey she is. Anytime I bring home a shopping bag she has to go through it. Well the other day I bought her Valentine's Day present: a little singing stuffed frog. SO I didn't show her the toy, left it in the bag and put it in the corner in my bedroom. When I came home there was a hole in the side of the bag, and the froggy was gone in her little toy world! What a stinker! Another interesting thing she does is how she hates the following things: aersol cans, the printer, coat hangers, and the window blinds! Anytime we touch any of these things she goes berserk! However, I think it's pretty cute! Sorry for the long post...just too much to say! Mindy and Baby
