Resizing pictures....

Let's see.... did I do it right? Hey, I see it! That was too easy. If I'd known that you could use that site without downloading the program, I would have been doing it all along. Thanks "Gypsy&Me"! Oh, by the way.... that's our daughters in the pic along with the goats they showed in the fair a few months ago. It was just the one I picked to play around with.

Yep, you just upload, tell it what size you want and then save the file that it produces.

Yes, but I don't see in the Kodak Gallery edit section where you can actually choose the pixels you want to downsize to. Does anyone here use Kodak Gallery to resize your pics?

Thought I'd try one more so you could see my "other girls". I used the same site but would still love to know if it's possible to do it directly on Kodak Gallery.

Goodness, the more I look at these pictures, the more I realize how much my camera sucks! I've actually been using my husband's work camera but FINALLY was able to get one of my own yesterday. I'm hoping it takes much better pictures!

By the way, I've seen posts that have pictures in between paragraphs. How do you do that? Everything I type ends up above the picture.

Aww they are gorgeous!

I don't know about Gallery, I have the Easyshare software but I don't know if it's the same. I'll look in a minute.

To post pictures between paragraphs you upload the photos like normal and to insert them into the post you click where you want the photo and then click that little arrow to the right of the paperclip on the top row of the editing functions where you type. Select the photo you want and it'll post it within the text.

Where you post your reply you'll see a little paper clip, I always use this feature if I want the pictures in the message. I usally upoad them the regular way, and then click on the paperclip, but it looks like you can upload them from the paperclip area as well.

Thank you both! I'm so excited. I probably sound like I'm an old grandma but seriously, for my age I should know more about technology. I just don't have time to play with stuff and learn it. By the way.... here I am! I'm getting the hang of this picture thing.

I've just found it really easy to work with so far but I haven't tried other programs. Okay, that is what I thought you were talking about. I have an account there too and I went and looked and I couldn't actually find anywhere to resize either. You could get round this though. Go and view the photo you want to post and then right click on the photo and then select save image and then that image will be small enough to post on to YT.

You're right! It worked. I love this one because she was "smiling"! Before, I was saving a pic from Kodak Gallery into "My Pictures" and then using the pic resizer site. THIS is so much easier!

Seriously, I just finally figured out how to download stuff onto the girls' Zunes (mp3 players) this Christmas withOUT having to agonize over it first. And they've had them since last Christmas! I finally got it down now though and even downloaded pics on them too. I'm practically the University expert that everyone comes to for our University's accounting system but when it comes to other technology, I get so frustrated! You have totally made my day!
