We weren't supposed to get our babies for a few more weeks but the breeder got very sick and had to be hospitalized for a while. So her husband called to see if we could go ahead and take our little ones home because it is going to be hard for them to take care of them due to the circumstances. They are 6 weeks old (I know how everyone feels about this, so please no hateful comments). We took them both to the vet for their shots and to be checked over and they got a clean bill of health...no worms or anything! Sophie weighed 2.1 lbs and Chewy weighed 2.3 lbs (I am figuring they will be on the large side for Yorkies, which is fine by me ). They are eating great and are adjusting well. Sophie is very fiesty while Chewy is a little more laid back. ![]() The first picture is Chewy. He was a little easier to photograph. The second is Sophie. The last one is both of them playing in their bed (Sophie is on the left & Chewy is on the right).

Your puppies are adorable. Since you got two from the same litter I am sure you will do just fine with the young pups!

awww! So precious! It is great that you have two of them for socialization purposes. If you have any special questions I am sure that people in breeder section can help you with some ideas for taking care puppies that young. Have you named them yet?

Thank you all for the sweet replies. We are very proud of our babies. I was extremely nervous about bringing them home this early, but it made my stomach turn to think they wouldn't be properly cared for if they remained with the breeder due to her circumstances. So, what's a new yorkie mom to do? I have Nutri-Cal ready just in case but they are eating so well now, thankfully. I think it helps greatly that we have littermates as well. They sleep with each other and play together nicely. Last edited by JenS; 01-06-2009 at 10:15 AM.

				   | I'm sure since you have littermates, the socialization will go alot better. And, they're not "tinies", so they should do fine. They are adorable! Congrats!

That's so sweet of you, aren't they great. You might find you have less trouble out of them getting them younger than if you would have waited(I always did anyway)..it's great too that they have eachother, and also, their weights are great, they weigh more than my 7 mos old...Take care and keep us updated, they're adorable
