| Maija's Turkey Day Dress (handmade) My mom and I, mostly my mom , made Maija a dress for Thanksgiving. A little short but still very cute! She was a hit a Granny's house! Here are some pics... not to bad for our first try huh!

| Yeah i made the bow.. didn't turn out quite how I wanted. Yeah we got a pattern and made it from there. My mom... even though I don't think she wants to admit it, loved making the dress. So I am sure you will see more of our handy work. Thanks for all the replies!

| The fabric is absolutely gorgeous. If the dress were a tad longer, it would be perfect. The bow on it is lovely too. Perhaps, if you either had enough material left or can buy more, you can add on to it as another layer for a layered effect? Or gathered in at the bottom of the exisiting dress in order to create a full "skirt" with maybe some tulle under it to give it body. Just a couple of ideas is all. The dress, as it is, is lovely. Congrats on your first try. Carolyn |
