Eddie is adorable! How long did it take for him to get used to the booties?

Let's see. Eddie is 4 1/2. It's taken about 4 1/2 years because he still runs to hide under the bed when I pull them out.

But seriously, it took about a week or two to get him to go on a complete walk with the booties on. I started with one step a day and used lots of treats. The breakthrough was when I discovered the magic of toys. When I tossed his favorite one, he'd chase it and forget he was wearing them. Eventually, he just plowed ahead. Jack was a little easier. He hates them too, but when he saw Eddie having to walk in them, he figured he had no choice. I haven't found a great bootie for him yet. The tinier ones for his size are hard to get on. Then when they get wet, he tends to step on them as he's walking. I haven't given up looking for the perfect bootie.

And bchgirl, STOP. It's 25 freakin' degrees out now and the lakes are already freezing.

gosh, that's quite an accumulation of snow for mid-october, isn't it? Is this much snow unusual for this time of year????

In Maine we used to say "We have 9 months of wintah and 3 months of rough sleddin'". But we usually didn't get any snow until after Thanksgiving, and sometimes not until after Christmas!

Yeah, winter came early. I usually expect some snow by Halloween, but we've had this for a couple weeks.

I just love your little guys!!!!! Eddie is the cutest!!!! I love the last pic where his little tongue is out...looks like he's tasting some snow flakes!!!!

We got snow earlier in the week but it's all melted!! Can't wait to see Daizy's reaction to snow...this will be her first winter! Hmm need to get her some booties!! lol

I love the boys in their snow outfits and the pics..but boy Mike..that's a scary sign if you guys are getting snow already. Yikes..we are not far behind ya...they are saying this is going to be a bad winter by the Great Lakes. Yikes.

Thanks for the tip on getting them used to the boots. Izzy has a pair and it's not easy getting them on her..she is so tiny and even with tiny pair they fall off. Hmm..maybe I'll have to click and treat.
